Re: sleeping tips
you dont need to be sat up at all, just aslong as your head is above your shoulders, when did you have your BA again as you just need to be raised for a few days to help with the swelling xx

Re: sleeping tips
aw yeah your fine to start lowering yourself down, loads of girls have found that when they wake they are flat, its just to keep the swelling down, so get yourself lowered and have a good sleep!! xx

Re: sleeping tips
As Tink has said there's no need to be completely upright as long as your head & shoulders are raised to help swelling reduce. V pillows are good for this. I had a pillow mountain , had then everywhere ..lol
One either side to prevent me rolling onto side whilst sleeping, one under thighs to stop me sliding down bed & one at base of spine ( the sorest part of sleeping raised for me) to cushion it.
Once swelling has gone you can sleep lower down, though would recommend a pillow to stop you turning on front whilst sleeping if your a front sleeper.
If your a side sleeper the v pillow is handy as you can cuddle into it & it stops you from rolling on to your front, it's recommend to have a kush or rolled up socks between boobs when side sleeping to support/keep them stable for healing purposes. XXX

Re: sleeping tips
So long as your shoulders are raised above your heart, it's fine, you don't need to be bolt upright. But don't lower to flat unless you've got the ok to, I had to sleep raised for 2wks to help reduce the swelling.

Re: sleeping tips
The pillow fort detailed by Mirren is excellent WOOWOO. You'll be snug as a bug in there. A pillow under each arm is fab too, so you're kinda sat in a pillow armchair. Your arms can really ache through the first weeks so this just helps to support those too. It's funny how we don't think of the strain this op does put on our arms but the more support they get through sleeping the easier it gets too.
Things like Chamomile tea or a cup of hot chock, a nice shallow bath with some lavender in there anything that will help wind you down before bed does also help too.
Hoping you get a better nights sleep tonight babe. It's awful when sleep deprivation kicks in. It can really get you down so hope you find the answer
