Sports Bra Sizing? Empty Sports Bra Sizing?

Post by Ella88 18th July 2014, 5:41 pm

Started off as a 30b/32a and had 275 moderate anatomical unders, and was expecting to come out at around a 30dd/32d. I know that bra sizes vary massively between brands, but I went to buy a spare sports bra today and went for a Triumph Triaction extreme, the 32D was way too big in the cup, so ended up buying a C, which was still a little big. I only had surgery last friday, and pretty sure that I still have a fair bit of swelling, so was a bit surprised to only be coming out at a C? Will the fluffed and dropped size come out at around the same as the swollen size? and are sports bra sizings different to normal bra sizings? never had to wear one before so don't really know!

Don't pay any attention to sizes right now. This new they're going to be so high and tight that they won't sit properly in a bra right now. I got a triumph around 6wk and they were still like torpedoes, it gave the cup a saggy nipple kind of look. As long as the bra is fitting and supporting you they way that the surgeon wants, that's all you should worry about.

Once the swelling is down (2-3wk) and the d&f happens (3m +), they will look and size so differently. I was in 36c post op. I'm 32e now!

Oh I should say, the band's come up tight on the triaction. I wear a 32dd for running to keep them firmly I'm place, but I might have to switch to a 34d when I get round to getting another.
