Only wires will sit flush to your chest, a soft cup or sports bra won't. Do make sure you're in the right band, it can make all the difference. Give yourself a quick measure, and what ever it reads, that's your size, don't add 4/5.

Re: sports bras ....another sizing one lol
Charlii's quick guide to measuring! Take a fabric tape measure firmly but not too tight around your ribs, where your bra band would sit. Make sure it's straight, and take the reading. Don't add the 4/5 from the old method. So, I measure 31", wear a 32. Next take the tape round the fullest part of the breast, and subtract the two. For me, 31/36 means 5 difference, ABCD,DD. So bra size is rougly 32DD. This a guide only, always remember your sister sizes, but should help.

Re: sports bras ....another sizing one lol
You're bust size will be bigger than your band size. So bust measurement (36) minus band measurement (31) equals the cup difference (5). Then you count along the alphabet. So a difference of 1" is an A cup, 2"B, 3"C, 4"D, 5"DD, E, F, FF and so on.

Re: sports bras ....another sizing one lol
Nope, 30D, you count from the measurement, not the band size. Your sister size would be 32C (up a band, down a cup and vice versa) so your bra is too big!

Re: sports bras ....another sizing one lol
You would need whichever one fitted you best. The measurement is just a starting point really, as all bras would fit differently. I normally wear 32DD, but right now I'm in a 34D. If you're going to a department store, I would take in a 30D, a 30DD, and a 32C to try on. Have a look at the Bravissimo website fitting guides so you know how they should look and feel on (minus the gore sitting flush bit, as that won't happen with soft cups). Just see what's best. It'll feel tighter than normal, but it's meant to be. 90% of the support is in the band.

Re: sports bras ....another sizing one lol
With the swelling, it's normally 1 or 2 band sizes up for the first 3wks. At a pure guess, I think you're looking at at least 3cups too. It's so hard to guess these things. I know for me, next time round, I would just get the macom for the first swelling weeks to save all the wasted money trying to get the right size. Maybe buy a 32macom, then at 3wk once the swelling is gone, you can give yourself a quick measure and head to m+s or something. If you put 'mybreast' in the macom site you get 15% off too!
