Stitches
Had stitches out today and the lovely nurse said all is looking good. I was in and out in 5 mins amd didn't even know she had done it!she said the surgeon does it so that when she pulls the dressing the stitch is attached to it and comes out with the dressing. I was amazed lol. Is this a standard thing as I've not heard of it before but was so painless and quick. I am also really pleased with my scar, it's tiny and only slightly raised, will update picture trail when I change them next xx

Re: Stitches
Love the new avi Hun.
Did you have complete stitches to take out or do you have dissolvable stitches and just the ends out? Mine are dissolvable stitches, but had the ends still on until my first apt with the nurse who cut them off which did not hurt at all.
So glad your happy with your incisions and that they look fab. Xx

Re: Stitches
Thanks Hun, they look huge for some reason, must be the colour.
I know I have dissolvable inside. When she pulled off the dressing, the long blue stitches were attached so think they came fully out. X

Re: Stitches
yeah you get the ends that attach to the dressing and the way that the stitches are done they pull out instead of needing cut out

Re: Stitches
Hey,
I had the surgical hlue and steristrips on my incisions, the nurses took there time to take the dressings off and even offered my surgeon the opportunity to do the one!! He said no but was very pleased at how they had healed after just one week - but I had been eating a lot of chicken and exercising before ba so maybe that helped my healing????
