Sore rightie
Hi girls,
Haven't posted on here in ages! Life has been hectic!
Had my op 5months ago now,my right still hasn't fully dropped and recently been finding it really painful especially around the scare. Almost a stinging sensation.
Anybody else had this?
Thanks xx

Hi hun.
I am only 5 weeks PO but the soreness could be a sign of dropping? I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along soon. Also if you are worried- it would be worth checking it with your PS? xx

Who was your surgeon or the company you went with?
You should have a post op check with the surgeon xx

Re: Sore rightie
Hi, babe! I'm 3 months post-op and I can relate to you a lot. I haven't dropped very much and just recently my boobs and my scars have been feeling quite sore and really quite painful at times. As kdee says I think there's a high possibility it could be your right breast dropping..
I really hope it settles down for you, babe, and doesn't increase in pain or anything. If it does start to really hurt or feel abnormal then don't hesitate to ring your clinic. You paid for your aftercare so you might as well use it :)
Take care and good luck xxxxxxxx

Re: Sore rightie
Its possible the pain and pressure you're feeling around the scar is coming from your rightie actually starting to behave and drop hun.
I know when mine dropped I felt lots of pressure along the incision lines.
Tingling sensations can also be contributed to simple healing of the scars. All those little nerves in there can be little terrors and often quite sore, but it does get better as they continue to heal.
You should have your six month post-op check on its way haven't you?
If you still haven't dropped on that right side by then then do discuss this in depth with your surgeon ensuring that what 'you say' is written in your notes.
This is so important to have your concerns documented because should you require revision and I'm not for a single moment here saying 'you' do, I'm just putting it out there that your surgeons notes are ALWAYS what will be referred back to by their superior should you require revision and have problems getting it. Xx

Thank you so much for the advice!
I need to book an appointment and go back and see him for the 6month check.
The right has always been sensitive it's just recently it's been more painful, I can't bear for my partner to touch it!
This site has been amazing! I thank everybody for the support xx

Re: Sore rightie
It does sound like nerve sensation Geb.
These sensations can come and go over the year of 'full recovery' but generally, its a good sign that all is starting to heal as it should - its just a pity those little nerves let you know about it in the form of pain - the buggers! lol.
Please let us know how you get on Geb xx
