I went to the surgeon, Mr Ray I didnt go through a company at all
Is it one year aftercare with Spire? remember that you can pay the extra if yur surgeon is BAAPs registered and get another 2 years aftercare xx

My surgeon doesn't really have after care - he just guaranteed that if I needed anything done (even if it was just me unhappy with size) he would reop and have no charge for him at all... so would just be implants if I wanted diff size and hospital fees... xx

Don't be too worried about this, babe. If you pick the right surgeon for you then the chances are you won't need a reop. However, I would recommend you picking the right aftercare package so you don't have to pay for a reop for problems like capsular contracture etc..
Don't worry, honey. I hope you're okay Xxxxx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
yeah like tiger said check the aftercare for the biggies like CC and rupture but also check that say you get a rupture aswell as correcting the rupture they will correct any other damaged done too
I did sadly choose the right surgeon Tiger but had complications that anyone can have xx

Oh bless you, Tink :( When you got capsular contracture did you have both boobs operated on or just one? Did they remove your implant? Xxx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
I had my implants both lowered too and the breast crease lowered and my muscles disected then I had a capsulotomy to remove the scar tissue. Alot of surgeons and the larger companies only correct one thing on the aftercare too so thats another thing to read into, I had 4 things sorted. At the time of my first BA he was going to lower my crease but at the time all looked good and when i woke he did tell me that my muscles were a little thicker than normal and taht it could lead to some further surgery but he didnt want to over disect as that can be harder to sort, so we had discussed from the start a reop
My implants didnt need replaced xx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
who did you go with and what is the aftercare, most people dont need it but Im glad now that I looked into it as ive had to use it and like i say looks like im using it again and it is the biggest thing I tell newbies to look into now as you just never know if you need it
I mean I def needed the reop for the CC as it was getting painful never mind looked awful and I could live with the boobs not dropping as it more cosmetic than medical but atleast im on the road to getting sorted xx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
Ah when did you see him Tink? He was amazing with me. The aftercare that was only for a year is through the Clinic. He then offered me just from him as a surgeon, that if I wasn't happy with size etc.. he would re op at no cost as he knew how worried I was about size and also if it didn't look right he would want to fix it anyways... he had such a good manner and wants me to have a good result rather than the others who were totally disinterested and I was just another boobjob girl. he phoned me loads to reassure me that if I had any problems he would fix them because I was super paranoid after reading on the forums here about aftercare :P better safe than sorry :) xx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
I seen him when I had my BA and wasnt through a clinic either
my friend is still looking into a ba and wanted to go with nuffield and the lifetime aftercare but that all fell through as its actually only a year you get with nuffield so she is calling to get and appointment with McGill, tbh it sounds a bit to good to be true, most surgeons all cut off after a year or 3 with their aftercare or us as patients could take the rip at the 10 year mark where most of us looking to change, i will change before then lol
yeah love my aftercare so far xx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
Yeah Nuffield has such a bad rep tbh anyways my mum warned me off of there from the get go haha!
He has put limitations on time span because obviously I can't go back in 4 yrs time but within reason I can change my mind and such! and obviously he will fix complications for me.. he was just really nice and hopefully I won't need the aftercare anyways... even if he came with no aftercare I still would have picked him out the surgeons I had seen in Glasgow and Newcastle.
Glad you love your aftercare :) what are you planning on changing within the 10yr mark? your size or surgeon or have them out? xx I haven't thought that far ahead yet hahaha...

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
do you have the number you go him on she just spoke to his secretary and she said its a years aftercare but maybe you went through him in another way, he was so nice when I seen him but he was the only one who wanted to give me teardrops and when I asked why he said he preferred them so that was the only reason he wasnt for me
I will def go bigger, i have the biggest I could get at the time if my reop goes ahead im def changing profile and having what my surgeon suggested in the first place lol
I have a boobie fund already started and got just inder the 2k in it as when my aftercare runs out something could go wrong so want the money there incase xx

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
I just spoke to him at my consultation and he said this to me. Have no idea where all my paperwork and such is... think my mum has it for safe keeping in her document files.
I just speak to the clinic or his sec and then he just phones me back as he is usually busy with his other work and such. Haven't needed him since my op either so...
He never once mentioned teardrops to me... :/ I asked for his recommendations and he suggested 330cc round and I wanted the fuller look so he said either XHP or HP so I picked my XHP he refused me to go any bigger when I got all paranoid about size which I love him for as I would have regretted it. I never even needed to show him after pics that I took with me.. he just looked at me and knew what I wanted... he was the only one that properly looked rather than go by measurements and such. I had another surgeon offer me teardrops which I didn't want either... and Ben Chew only offered less than 300cc something like 275cc which I almost cried at...
Shoaib wouldn't even size me or write anything down unless I came back again for another appointment even though I live so far away. He said he only did surgery on 'nice people' and he did 'nice jobs' so he was out the window from the get go haha. Arrogant and no interest in me at all... was great to go walking past him with my boobies that hadn't come from him :P
I have a savings account for putting money in for the future but have no plans of when or what i will have next hehe xx

yeah she has got an appointment booked for sometime next month to go and see him now anyway but def only offers the years aftercare which she is happy to have if she likes him at the cinsultation
Mr Chew offered me like 240cc or something like that i was like omg no way please let others offer me more lol, it think that it was Vivek that offered me 440cc which is crazy as the 360cc was a struggle to get in

Hi just reading this post with interest and I went through the Nuffield for my BA and I couldn't fault them.
I'm not sure what is meant by the bad reputation to be honest.
I can only say they were fantastic with me.

Re: scared ill need a re-op before ive even had my ba:
Tasha, the reason you read a lot a bout re-ops on here is due to the fact its a support forum. We get the newbies in, and then often once they had their BA and are all healthy and all clear, they disappear and continue with their lives. Girls with re-ops often come back for the continuing support. Its the same as you'll only find the horror stories and the gone wrongs online, you'll never hear about the hundreds of other success stories.
You cant worry yourself about re-ops before its even happened. Yes, check out your after care and make sure its top notch before going ahead. But often the reasons for re-ops are things that just cannot be helped or prevented.

Hey bigbusty - I'm glad you had a good experience with them, my mum used to work in the medical field and knew a lot about Nuffield and it had a very bad rep. Maybe they have turned around which is good. I know my clinic used to use them but now won't work with the hospital for reasons I do not know :/
Tink - Glad she has an app with him and hope it all goes well for her :) I was happy with my offer of 330cc :) after all my research I knew I didn't want smaller than 300 and I didn't want bigger than 360ish so it was pretty bang in the middle. But he had a good eye and I'm glad he gave me what I have.
My next re op will prob be the same or slightly bigger doubt I will get too much boob greed to be honest :) xx

hi bigbusty my friend just wants more than a years aftercare thats all and after looking into the lifetime aftercare with the Nuffield its only certain things like seeing your surgeon after the year thats free
so I think that thats the main thing that has put my friend off thats all, nothing else really xx
