Hi girls, I've removed my tapes today (for the third time), and noticed a small amount of yellow substance on the inside of the tapes...so I took a look at my scars and I've noticed a very small raised white spot, looks like what a tiny blister would look like, but I'm guessing it's filled with puss. It's at the point where the vertical scar meets the underneath scar, which I was told is the most dangerous part of the anchor. Should I be this worried...is there something I can do...does this meen I have an infection. I have emailed mr h, but any advice you can give me would be much appreciated! Thanks girls! I have uploaded a pic of it to my pic trail if you wana have a look so you can see what I'm on about xxxxxxx

There is no need to panic but it's always better to be cautious. Ring your clinic in the morning and tell them you are worried. The should see you the same day or they may ask you to see your go just to check the wound. It could be the stitches but it's always best to be 100% sure.

Hey hun sorry to hear you've got a worry. Have you tried calling Mr Hassan? I rang him on a Sunday evening when I was really worried about something and he was lovely and made time to see me the next day. It helps put your mind at ease if you actually speak to him as he'll explain the possibilities to you etc. Just a thought xx

hiya, I agree with tink, it sounds like a spitting stitch. I have just been to the clinic today to get three removed, I think they are common with uplift as the scar tissue forms your body tries to spit out any loose bits of stitch. Mine came out clean but I understand often they erupt up through the skin layers as you've described xx

Does it smell and is it sore? If you're at all worried, pop down to the GP and they'll be able to see if its an infection or just normal healing. If they do think its infected, let your clinic and PS know immediately, so its in their notes. Hopefully its nothing to worry about.
