Post op advice please girls! boobie blues :(
Hey everyone, new to this site so not to sure if im writing this in the right place?!
I have actually already had my BA, Friday 13th May infact!
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced these feelings i have... I know I am still bandaged up and in my sports bra, however I feel like my boobs still look small compared to my build! (size 12, 5"8) I had the decision to go for 410cc, 380cc, or 365cc, wanting to still look 'natural' I decided on the 365, and at the moment, am severely regretting it! :( I feel extremely selfish as I know that anything is better than what I had before (A) but I just cant stop thinking about how I expected them to look and that I have spent all this money and i am still not satisfied with myself :(
I am currently wearing a DD, however went to buy a new sports bra yesterday and a D was far too big which did upset me! I know its only been 3 days but I expected to feel on top of the world after this op, and little old me is STILL feeling self concious about my figure! I just dont know what to do :(
Sorry about the rant girls! I just have no one else to speak to about this as I feel so selfish! :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum lovely!
Your boobs now aren't how they'll be in a week, two weeks, a month, six months... you have so many changes to go through yet. At the moment they'll be sitting high on your chest, they're probably shiny and a little Madonna-like and feel really tight. Did you have overs or unders?
After my op I was in a B cup sports bra (B!!!!!) but gradually as they settled I went from the B cup to a FF/G.

oh hunni, you're not alone! i am 12 days post op and i, like you, was so depressed in the 4-5 days after my BA, all i did was cry and i felt it was such a waste which was made worse by the fact that my OH paid for the op. but after speaking to many other girls on here and a little bit of time to get the drugs out of my system i started to feel better and you will too! i was also given options in terms of sizes, 290 or 330 and again like you i decided to play it safe as i wanted to look natural, i still regret that choice but i also know there is nothing i can do about it now and all said it done its more than what i had to begin with. once you get your dressings off and see the curves properly you can compare to photos from before your op and you will quickly see that there is a massive change and it will lift your mood. even now i have times where i am unhappy but i expect that will change over time as the implants settle and look more natural. right now your implants will be sat very high and very solid and this doesnt look normal for a start but it also gives the appearance of them being smaller. i know its hard to hear after spending all that money and probably having waited so long just to take the plunge but the only key is patience sweetie.
There are a lot of changes that will happen in the coming months for the appearance/size/shape of your breasts and these will make a difference. You will find there are a lot of women like us who were completely unhappy after the op but then come 12months down the line they love their new additions and i have faith that we will too

First of all, thank you for your quick replies girls! Definitely cheered me up :)
RoxyChick, you are right, they are sitting high at the moment, i cannot wait until they feel normal and a part of me! I just wish i could fast forward time
I cannot believe you went from a B to a FF, lets just hope mine do the same! ! (crosses everything) haha, oh and I had unders :) Iam actually so pleased to hear yours got bigger! I have been told by so many people there going to smaller as they 'settle' which upset me even more! What size implants did you have hun?
Sianb23, Its so nice to know someone knows exactly how I feel! I had an awful crying breakdown last night, and felt so selfish because my mum paid for my op, and hoped it would make me 100%happier with myself, so I have no one to moan too! (well, i do now ) Im sticking with the thoughts that anything is better than what i had before, but then I think how much money they cost and it hurts! haha. This had made me feel a lot better, I haven't actually seen my boobs yet as I am all bandaged, and was under the impression once they settle they will only get smaller, however clearly i was mistaken. :)
Also, i know this is a strange question, but once I am heled im planning to tone up a litttle bit for summer, just for that extra confidence boost.Does anyone have any idea if my boobs will shrink / sag at all, or if they will just stay the same?! any advice/personal experiences would be appreciated !
Thanks so much for your help guys

From what I can gather we all feel the same no matter what size we go with. I had 525 overs and now that they are starting to settle Im wishing I could have gone bigger lol

sounds like u still have all th drugs in ur system babe, and mayb contributing to the crying! i feel like mine dont look as big as they measure, which is dissapointing, and one has a weird dent at the side...i think its a case of being patient. Your yet to fluff and most peopl go up one size at least...some way more. So wipe ur teasr sweetness, get out old photos of u with you old boobies, and look how amazing they r now and sit tight. They will get better and better as time goes on xxx

Ahhhhhh hun ur feelings are completley normal!!! Thank goodness for this forum I was prepared for the scary looking boobs straight after!
But honestly they change everyday!!! Mine aren't changing as much now. But honestly sweety they do change!
I was wearing a DD sports bra and I'm now FF/G (depending on bra style)
I recommend taking daily photos and not looking at them too much as u start ober analysing! I only looked at them once a day!

Hiya Hun and welcome
I think it's totally natural, I'm just over a week post op and change my mind hourly about if I like mine or if I don't. I'm liking the look etc and I'm healing well but I wished I'd gone bigger....but then again they might grow...infact I'm doing pics every few days and already I've notice more volume in the past few days. :-)
I bet you look stunning hun xxxx you're just not realising it just yet xxx

Don't be so down! I was in the same boat as you middle of last week. I am 17 days out I was so happy when I got home from surgery they were big, as the days past by swolleness went down, I got depress and cried to my husband who paid for my boobies. I told him I made a big mistake for not going big and I was mad for choosing my own size and not even ask the Dr if I could go big. In my head when I tried on 400cc was huge so I got scared. Well yesterday went to church and prayed that I'd be happy for what I did. So today I feel a lot better about my self and being in this web everyone makes me feel good and give me hope. So you and I will just need to to be patient and we will be with this happy ladies around here. Take care!

Hi hun!
The best thing you have done is join this forum. Everyone here has been in/will be in the same boat and completely understands how you're feeling. We don't have BA's unless it is because we have really been very unhappy with something for a long time, so it is natural to question yourself when you have gone ahead and done something about it! I have sat here and wondered if mine are too small too but this forum opened up so much information to me, I learnt what 'post-op boob greed' was and wasn't suprised when I got it lol!
It is such early days hun. I know how you are feeling as I feel the same, but as I type this to you, I am typing and my arms are brushing past the sides of a pair of boobs that weren't there before, and I bet yours are doing the same, ... now that can't be bad, can it

Re: Post op advice please girls! boobie blues :(
Firstly, huge thanks to everyone for taking your time to reply to me! :)
I am now 5 days post op, and even though I still have 'boobie greed' I am trying my best to keep positive! :) I think part of the reason why I am feeling so down is literally that I haven't been out of the house for 5 days and all of my energy is just drained! I feel disgusting because I cant shower, my hair needs doing, and I havent worn any make up for a while!
I think today, I am going to get up and try to pamper myself ( as much as possible?!) and then go out with the girls tonight for something to eat :) My whole brain has just been overloaded with worries about my boobs and I need to just stop thinking about them. Im hoping that if i occupy myself with something else I will start to feel better :)
All of your responses have really cheered me up :) I did notice that no one replied to the weight loss question? I feel so unhealthy because obviously I am unable to do any exercise at the moment, but am hoping to lose a little bit of weight for summer. My theory is that if i lose the weight i want to, I will feel even better about my figure overall, leading me to be even happier with my boobs :) I was just wondering if anyone has lost weight post BA and how it affected the look of your boobs?
I just cannot wait to get these bandages off and get some nice new underwear! Does anyone have any idea where I can find some nice non wired bras? Its just I am off on holiday soon and don't think I can survive a week in sports bras!
Take care xxxxxxx

Re: Post op advice please girls! boobie blues :(
i did read on another site a post from a surgeon who said "most" people can afford to lose 10-15lbs after a BA without any affects on the look of their breasts. so i think you should be fine.
to try make yourself feel better do you have a girlfirend or sister perhaps that come round and wash and style your hair for you? i got my sister to do this for me and it really did do me the world of good!
glad your feeling a bit more positive hun, i am 2 weeks post op now and still getting a bit of boob greed but in general i am feeling much less down so hopefully you will continue to feel better and better too xx
