Bit worried girls.....
...After a relatively easy time of it and not a lot of pain I suddenly have quite sore scars. They havn't bothered me at all and I really mean that, I havn't even noticed them, but today they feel very tender and where i havn't got dressings due to my allergy to sticky stuff, I have noticed they feel very sticky and damp! There is no redness surrounding the scar, there is no discharge and they are not hot, but just wondered if this is normal? I have been showering as normal since day two as advised and towell drying them and then blasting them with the hairdryer. Do you think it is normal, maybe it is just where the stictches are disolving? Help anyone please xx

Hey Mrs O
I don't know about the stickiness and dampness, but the tenderness may be because you are getting feeling back in them?? I would definitely keep an eye on them and get it checked out if you are worried about them.

Re: Bit worried girls.....
Are you protecting the scar from your bra rubbing? even sterile gauze? as that is the reason for no underwires too, as you are preventing natural healing of scar/tissue/muscle. I would call P.S, just to clarify all is o.k. xx

Re: Bit worried girls.....
hey hunnie, my scar all of a sudden started to kinda sting/prickle at about 10days ish-i think this was due to getting the feeling back! definately keep an eye on them+ my nurse's top tip was to either make sure you had a freshly washed/clean towel for drying boobs every time OR not to use one at all-only cool hairdryer!

Re: Bit worried girls.....
Thanks girls, i have been using fresh towels after every shower and blasting with the hairdryer. My hubby has had a good look and assures me that it looks fine (he is a tattooist so knows a little about skin healing) so am feeling a little better. I will call the nurse tomoz and check. Thanks girls x
