Driving after surgery Empty Driving after surgery

Hi ladies
When do u start driving after your surgery?
The paperwork I've received from my consultant says two weeks but I was planning on driving after 1 week - unless I seriously wasn't able to. I want to go back to work quite quickly & try & just generally get on as much as possible

Just wondered what everyone else did?

Thanks xxx

You really should follow the instructions given to you by your surgeon Moomins so as not to void your aftercare if you don't.

If you feel able and want to drive after a week, then given you've been instructed to wait two weeks you'll need to get permission from your surgeon sweetheart. Xx

I don't drive so can't advise am sure others who can will be along shortly.
If your surgeon is advising 2 weeks I am sure this will be the minimum time before you can drive maybe longer depending on how you feel having had a BA/uplift. In going against your surgeons advice you risk voiding your aftercare no to mention compromising your healing & results.
An extra week or 2 in the scheme of things isn't long and so worth it to have a trouble free recovery huni. XXX

As you know we have the same surgeons.
I have stuck to the no driving and to be honest I would not of wanted to drive yet either!

Trying to take things as easy as possible early in your recovery is key to good/shorter healing time.

I know this may not be what you wanted to hear and of course is just my "opinion"

Thank you ladies!!!
Got do much info whizzing round my head at the moment - just had all the paperwork confirming my booking in the post today so my head is full of it!!! Lol

I'm seeing my consultant on Tuesday so am writing a final list of things we haven't discussed before.

Maybe the driving & work will have to wait

Driving is hard!! I started driving one week post op but it really is not easy, and I have an automatic!

If you can give yourself the two weeks, I would recommend you do xx
