Yay I can sleep on my side! Any advice?
Had my one week post op check today, other than a concern on my uplift scars (which Cookie has already put to rest in the other section ), all was well and I was also told I can start to sleep on my side!
I can't wait!
But, looking for any tips on what I can do to stay comfy and supported?
Thank you in advance ladies xx

Using your V pillow will be a great help to you in the transition from back to side sleeping.
I used the flat side for my head with the triangular side coming in toward me so I could cuddle into it. This creates a gap for your boob to fall into and help because you won't be able to put body pressure on it because its protected by the pillow. You also won't be able to roll on your front and if you pop a pair of fluffy socks between your boobs it helps to keep them stable and from dropping on to the lower breast.
One thing to bare in mind also.... You may have had the all clear to side sleep but that's not to say you're ready, so do listen to your body and if it hurts or aches, go back to back sleeping for another week and then try again. But its so, so important to listen to your body. Xx

Hi Kt, How lovely for you! I have my 1 wk check tomorrow too, I think I'd be too worried to sleep on my side yet (LOL) but it would be sooo nice.
Let us know if you give it a try. xx

Thanks both! I have a feeling I may be too worried to try it too just yet, but will see how it feels later.
My neck is definitely hoping I can!
Need to go and find some nice fluffy socks out to make the booby cushion, thank you for the tip cookie x

Yeah hooray for the boobie cushion!
I can't get comfy without it!
It may take time to get comfortable side sleeping, your body will tell you when it's ok.XXX

I can't offer any advice about sleeping on your side babe as I'm still sleeping on my back at 4 weeks post-op.. My surgeon hasn't told me I can sleep on my side yet and it hurts when I slightly sleep on the side any way.. so I'm just going to wait until I get the all clear.
However, I just wanted to say WOOO! Congratulations on getting to sleep on your side.. We deffo take it for granted hahaha :)
Take care, lovely xxxx

Thank you! Can't believe how much I did take being comfortable in bed for granted in the past! Lol x
