Re: worst part of your BA
I did xtrainer without arms for 10mins on day three at a leisurely pace without getting my hr up . Just trying to disperse the water retention . Done some non weighted squats and lunches tonight with some gentle crunches , pelvic raises and tri/bicep curls with v light weights with arms clamped to my sides and this is day 4 . Feel so much better

Re: worst part of your BA
Oooh eeee yes crunches would strain surely. I won't be in a hurry to go back but will definitely miss the exercise. .... maybe just squats at home to tone the bum and thighs will have to do x

Re: worst part of your BA
No , crunches work your core , shouldn't do anything for chest unless trying to lift incorrectly ...bicycle leg raises whilst doing them should also help engage lower abs . I normally lift pretty heavy weights in BodyPump which is a HIIT class which I can't possibly do but as long as I just avoid chest , back , delts and keep my HR low some exercise is good for circulation ...I just dread losing definition

Re: worst part of your BA
Yeah they still pull on ur chest slightly. I done them after last BA and my left boob swelled up, the gym manager said i shouldn't be doing anything that gets chest muscles moving. But if ur feeling ok and surgeon said excercise is ok then thats great
Im not allowed to exercise, which is fine by me lol xx

Re: worst part of your BA
I am a body pump addict too soozie73, it took me ages to get back to my pre surgery weights! It was frustrating but you do get there in the end... pump is just one of them classes that if you stop doing it for over a week you lose ability quite quickly!

Re: worst part of your BA
You're right 5stonedown , missing one week of pump is bad enough and I do lift heavy in class . The new release starts soon so I'm going to attend but my instructors know I was going for the op so although I won't be able to do much , I can at least memorise the routine xx

Re: worst part of your BA
I did the 30 day squat challenge and didn't notice any different in my bum! I did my thighs. I was convinced I was doing them wrong and asked a few gym instructors at my gym and all said they were fine! X

You'll be able to do some of the exercises without a weight just now,I found some were too hard to do with a weight pre BA x

Hypersensitive nipples and I had the awful sickness after GA too. Also I wish I could shake off this stupid feeling that I've messed around with my body unnecessarily, but I can't...yet! Those are the worst parts for me.

I did some weighted lunges and squats today at home but not with the bar . Just used 2.5kg in each hand and kept my arms at my sides :)
