Steri-strips

How long do i need to keep steri-stips on for? The nurse gave me some to use after i had a bath (which i've only had shallow ones and not got them wet), I've changed them once because they were peeling off as the weather was so hot but ive no idea how long to use them for Rolling Eyes

I had steri strips on for the first 2 weeks and those were changed at my post op appointment and i was told to leave them on for a week (7 days) and if they hadnt come off on their own by them to peel them off

No problem, alot of girls use them for a while just to make sure the incisions stay closed, i had them on for about 4 weeks in total, changing them after a bath or if they peeled off x

Hi Emma

My stitiches were cut an streris changed a week post op. New ones were applied and I was told then I could shower but to dry them as best I could afterwards. They also said if they peeled off to leave them off which I did a few days after and all has been fine xxxxxxx

hey hun i had my steri strips onfor 1 weeks, and was told to take them off after then.

Hiya Em

I used mine for about a month like nads said just to make sure my incisions had fully healed and i had quiet a lot of scabbing aswell, i changed them after a bath or if they started to peel of on there own.

I had my steri-strips on untill first post-op check I think 10 days. Then removed with strapping, etc. cleaned, and micropore tape put on. I was advised to continue using the micropore tape untill 6week check...change daily to protect heal and soften the incisions. I would think the steri-strips would serve the same purpose.xxx
