How long have you been told you need to wear them? If your told you have to take them off then do to let then heal... After my shower I dry my incisions with a hair dryer on cool setting (cookie advice) and if your bra rubs your incisions you can pop a panty liner inbetween with the sticky side against the bra xx

I wasnt told, when i went for my check up i was told to use a hair dryer and the nurse gave me a few steri strips but the scars are not scabbing i think because i have them covered by the strips

Maybe give the clinic a call tomorrow? We had the same surgeon and I had to wear mine for 2 weeks in total and then nothing after that ... Yes probably because they arnt getting enough air to form a scab? Xxx

Re: steri strips
You 'generally' just have to keep reapplying until the dressings the clinic has given you runs out babe.
The reason you're using steri-strips is help keep the open wounds together to encourage a nice scar babe. The steri-strips act like a support for the scars. They don't in any way affect the wounds ability to scab babe, so I wouldn't worry about that. Your wounds will scab in their own good time.
Just ensure that the scar tissue is nice and pink and there's no redness babe or secretion coming from it... If that's all good I'd just keep on with the strips until you run out. If your wounds still show no sign of closing over then you should see your clinic nurse lovely because she may want to check on the wound and possibly give you more dressings to use for a while. Xx
