Re: September Buddies
Hi sassy!! Good to see an update, sorry to hear you have been in agony with your leftie, I wondered what cases that? Hope it's feeling better?
The back pain and neck has been the worst part of my recovery, I'm day 12 and yesterday was the first day my back started to feel better... I'm doing ok but by the end of the day as I start to ache more I do feel myself start to hunch which I'm trying not to do!
Mine do look different from day 1 but I think it's the swelling gone down because my Macom has breathing room lol!! Still other then the odd twinge and sensitive nipples I'm doing well!! Feeling good... Dressings totally off tomorrow :)
I've got to admit, over the first week I was questioning if I had done the right thing, but even though I'm not near the final result and still may need the areola reduction, I'm sooooo happy I've done this and find ahead!! The feelings of doubt do go :) xx

Re: September Buddies
Yea definitely hon.
And although I TOTALLY hated that strapping, once it was off it was off. No dressings, no stitches to be removed because they're dis solvable, have been able to shower normally........the evil strapping defo had its advantages for sure. Although I wouldn't have said that a week ago!
I think that first week is so emotional because of the GA and its a BIG BIG change! I don't think any amount of research prepares you for that. xxx

Cheers sassysazzle. You all sound like there's definitely one or ten ailments to deal with post op. I am thinking of you all. As I say that, I can see my As in my peripherals and can't believe they're changing in 5 days.

Aww its all worth it Nsaw!!
You don't have to sleep upright, your head and shoulders just need to be able your chest so an extra pillow is just fine! No need to sleep sitting up at all.... its normally two weeks xx

Re: September Buddies
Hi girls I haven't posted on this thread for a while but I hope everyone is ok.
The downside of having my op right at the end of the month is that it feels like everyone is post-op!!
I'm really starting to get cold feet now...I'm absolutely dreading all the physical and emotional downsides that many of you are describing. I guess it's all part of the process though xx

Hi Louise,
there are still a few ladies here that are still waiting, we are just chatting so much, were still here for you to get you through!!
The pre op jitters are really normal... you just keep having to remember why you booked! Yes you will be in a bit of discomfort (not pain) and you will likely be a bit emotion BUT you will also be really happy, excited and will be one of the best things you've ever done :)
Its a great feeling to have boobs and the down sides don't last long at all!!!! xx

Re: September Buddies
Aww louise my areolas are sore because I was tuberous before so they are kind of pointly and Mr M was in two minds whether to do a reduction or not but decided I have a 50/50 chance of them sorting themselves out (which I guess they still might) and also they might not bother me too much so I could wait until next time after ive had children etc! Im sure yours wont be as bad :)
Im sure you will go through with it :) You are in good hands and the staff at riverside are lovely :) The run up is always the worse bit but when you get there you will be taken care of and we all normally feel strangley calm on the actual day :) xx

Re: September Buddies
My surgeons waiting til the 3 month Mark for me to about nipple reduction cos I was tuberous too, so again I've got to see if either it sorts itself, or I can live with it, so far I'm leaning towards the surgery tbf...so we are the same boat Jen!

Re: September Buddies
Im 50/50 really pinkprincess!
Obviously I will wait and see (I think ill give it 3/6 months) part of me wants the perfect boobies now..but if the look ok (they wont be perfect) I might leave them until next time because if I am lucky to have children over the next few years I could be looking at an uplift next time..who knows lol!
But if they look like they did before then I will defo go for the reduction... I got this done to feel happy and I don't want to compromise that! :) xx

Re: September Buddies
Well I get a good look at mine everyday and my shape being braless 24/7 so I know already shapewise I wouldn't be comfortable in leaving them, I have 2 children already, so not sure about more kids yet. Obviously ideally if it sorted itself out that would be fantastic...but I've always wanted smaller nipples anyway, so this way that would be achieved too! Xx

Re: September Buddies
Hi all, I've been told to take Arnica 7 days prior to op. Is this the general consensus? Seems odd?

Re: September Buddies
Hiya, yeah alot of girls do, but I personally was told to take NOTHING, so I took that advice and I has absolutely no bruising what so ever, so it's entirely your choice, but I do know most girls do x

Re: September Buddies
Ah right. Hmmm. Just seems weird taking something for something that's not there. I'm assuming it takes 7 days to get into the system to take affect on time for your op. Cheers for your message. Hmmm

Hi nsaw, yes 7 days before is the general ild say... Don't take it on the actual day if your op... And you take it before like you say to help reduce the swelling and brushing (if you type arnica into the search bar at the right threads will come up) xx

Re: September Buddies
Michelle, would love to come to Plymouth. Be nicer than here..... Bit of sea air....... Think that could work........ You never know..........
Nsaw, I was told to take 3 days before surgery, but I bruise badly, so I'm taking it at least week or 2 before...... Need all the help I can get......
Hope all you girls post surgery are healing well and I hope that you girls pre op are looking forward to your big day.....xx
