Small post op sports bra
I really need some help with this dilemma. My surgeon has advised that I need not spend loads of money on a post surgery sports bra - just a primark one will do. I'm having a nightmare because a) I don't know what size to get ( I measure 27" rib but have been wearing 30aa bras, when I fill them! lol) b) I want to try and get whichever one I choose online to be sure I have one in time.
Should I just get a macom to settle my mind? I don't think I'll be any bigger than a C post op.
Any help ladies?? xx

ild say yes to the Macom to be honest...
Although the Macom is a bit pricey and your surgeon said you don't need to buy an expensive one ladies here still wear the Macom months into recovery eg when they get home from work and to sleep in so you do get your money worth!! :) it's just so great aswell no worrying about sizes xx

Re: Small post op sports bra
Maybe speak with your surgeon again and ask what band and cup size you should get if you don't get the maccom.
My surgeon advised I go up a band size due to swelling and in the size we both feel as though I'll get to. At the most recent consultation he said that I should get the next size up in the cup size as he feels I might end up a little bigger and/or to allow for swelling as well. So taking both these sizes to the hospital and they can assess from there which is best for me.
Hope this helps.

Re: Small post op sports bra
My PS told me the size to buy, and I went up a band size to allow for the swelling and so that it was super comfy.
Your PS should be able to tell you your intended cup size x

These run out in an hour hun,
Shock absorbers come in a 28 back, mine are a28 GG
And they're high impact. Thing is with Primark or asda sports bars they're not very supportive or high impact.
I find shock absorbers very comfy and I LIVE in mine!
Also with buying a shock absorber or triumph you will get your money's worth especially if you have to be in it for 12 weeks hun.
Also after you will find you will probably still wear it, as I said I live in mine I only wear wire probably 10/20% of the time some days I don't even wear wires!

Also on the subject, do I need to be careful where the band sits? or is it a given that they're gonna be over/near the incision site?

You can use sanitary pads as a sort of cushion under the band to cushion the insions, and also buy a couple of back extenders for the 1st week to allow for swelling x
I love the shock absorbers and at 4.99 you can't go wrong, she dispatches quickly too, I have the red, blue, purple and strawberry colours! X
