Re: Mini consultation????
Arrggghh it deleted the rest of my post!! I've booked in with a surgeon called Guy Sterne at spires Worcester through VIP cosmetic surgery. When I rang to book, the receptionist said you only ever see the surgeon, and no 'sales people' which I was really happy about. So you get a mini consultation for free, then if you like the surgeon you can have a more thorough one for £100; which to be honest I thought was fair enough, as these surgeons are busy people!!
So basically, I just wanted to know what happens in a 'mini consultation'??

Re: Mini consultation????
Ooo just to add, in the mini consultation you may go through the procedure you're wanting and the surgeon may, or may not take a quick look and in brief give their opinion.
For a full consultations the surgeon goes through EVERYTHING. In a mini consultation you'll just get a brief on what you might need and why. Xx

Re: Mini consultation????
Ahh thank you so much. I know I was so pleased to get in with him & that he's not far away from me! I'm going to book some more consultations to get more perspective, but I'm finding it so hard to decide on other people - whereas he just stood out to me. Xx

Re: Mini consultation????
Congratulations on booking in. Hope it all goes well. It's always worth seeing other people, just to get a good idea about your options, however it does start to add up if you're paying £100 each time.
I didn't realise that they offered 'mini consultations'. Sound like this will be handy to get an overview of things!
Good luck with it.x

Re: Mini consultation????
Yes definitely! I don't think I'd want to pay £100 unless I was pretty sure this was the surgeon I wanted. Otherwise I'd end up bankrupt!

Good luck becciann, I'm going to Worcester spire too, I'm with vik vijh, mine is the 16 th September.
Like cookie said the mini consultation is a brief outline of it all. Your main consultation lasts for about an hour and that goes over everything in a lot more detail...
Worcester spire is amazing too, it's git a fantastic reputation, and I know guy stern has a very good reputation. You won't be dissapointed.
I'm just on countdown now.....

Re: Mini consultation????
All I can say is spire have been amazing... They are all really nice there and make you feel so welcome, you won't be rushed, it takes as long as it takes.... They are very professional....
I've never heard a bad word about spire either so that's a good sign.
My friend went there 3 years ago for hers and hasn't looked back she's chuffed.....
Keep us posted how you get on too...... Xx

That's so good to know! That's what I love about this forum - there's so many people here that have had ba's that you get to hear real feedback from people that been with these companies/surgeons. I will definitely keep everyone posted.

I didn't Hunni, I know I was told to, but I did loads of research and my friend told me about this surgeon and after I went to consultations I just knew... He just made me feel so at ease.... He was amazing.... He also teaches, and he's in last chance salon on t.v where he puts bad surgery right.
It's 5 weeks now and I can't wait.....

Plus he's come recommended by your friend, soi can completely understand why you didn't see anyone else. I can't wait to hear how you get on there! Exciting times... :) x

Re: Mini consultation????
You do get a good feeling, I was dreading going for my consultation, the whole stripping off bit and he's so professional. I instantly felt at ease. I'm having my upper blephs done at same time......( a double whammy)
He's got a real good sense of humour too, which broke the ice..... My hubby ( who's a bit anti surgery) turned to me when we left there and said " you have definately made the right choice, you are so going with him"
The whole place has got such a nice feel about it... From the reception you just feel at home......
I think you will feel this too. X

Re: Mini consultation????
Ah I'm so glad you've told me all this, it's so good to hear such a positive experience & it's making me even more glad that I'm booked for a consultation there!
My consultation isn't until the 9th or sept, so got a while to wait as wanted to book in when my bf could come too. I know that if he likes him that will be a good sign, as he's a but anti surgery too & pretty hard to impress! Ha also would be really handy if I do eventually have my surgery there as its only half hr away as opposed to bham which is 1.5hrs away

Re: Mini consultation????
It's handy for me too Hun, about ten minutes up the road, which will be great after. To get home and be in bed in half hour.... We are just lucky to have such a good hospital and surgeons on our doorstep.... Why travel if you don't need too.........
What is it with men and surgery...... Bless them.....
That's not too long though Hunni, that will soon come around....x

Re: Mini consultation????
We really are, when I started researching I had no idea that there would be amazing surgeons just down the road - I was sure that I'd have to travel to one of the bigger cities! X
