Shellac nails on BA day
Girls,
This is probably a stupid question but is it ok to nail varnish/shellac on your BA day or do you need to have bare nails??
Thanks
Becky

Bare nails Becky. The surgeon needs access to your nail beds babe to ensure you're getting enough oxygen. Xx

Hi Becky :)
In my notes it says to have no make up, no nail varnish and no jewellery.
Maybe it varies from clinic to clinic?

Re: Shellac nails on BA day
Aww bless you :)
They emailed me some do's and don't's and some information on what to expect, I can forward the attachment on to you if you'd like?
Have you spoken to them about a pre-op yet? I had to go in because my medical history is a little complicated. But even then they should at least do it over the phone.
(Also the nurse I spoke to yest had great things to say about GG, apparently he is very particular and likes to have it just right. Sounds good to me :))

Thanks Girls, I do Shellac myself but might pay someone to do them after as a treat..
I know I am the same with regards to make up but I have to get the train in to central London in rush out with a blank canvas.. Do you reckon i'd look really stupid on a train with massive sun glasses on.. lol.. Just hope no one recognises me.. xx

I'm the same about wearing make-up, but the last thing you'll be thinking about on the morning of your op is what your face looks like x

Re: Shellac nails on BA day
They need to be able to see natural colour of your nail so they can monitor oxygen. So no false nails or varnish x
