ridge under the skin on sternum?
ok this is weird, i'm not really worried but i'm not sure what it is. If i run my finger up my breast bone between the bottom of my boobs i can feel a raised bit, then when i sit down this raised but feels more like a ridge/flap underneath the skin? and i can kind of poke underneath it. it's really hard to explain but i'm not sure if it's normal or if maybe its slight tenting? nothing is visible though? and now my boobs ache from touching it

Re: ridge under the skin on sternum?
I think I have similar hun... Do you mean at the the centre bottom of your cleavage area?
Like you can stick your finger under it?
If its the same, I personally put this down to the size of my implants.
'For me' its been there since I had my first BA with 460s. I reduced and thought this would settle it, but its still there.
No one can see it though and I can't say it bothers or affects me at all and I personally don't feel it warrants a re-op at all 'for me'
You may be talking about a different thing entirely though Nicole. Xx

yeah that's exactly what i have! i'm thinking it might be scar tissue or something? I wasn't too worried about it, more curious, but you've reassured me so thank you :) xx

Re: ridge under the skin on sternum?
That could be why as the disconnect certain parts of the muscle depending on the surgeon technique I'd properly suggest leaving it alone and contacting your ps if your concerned x
large implants were placed, the muscle is often separated from the breast bone (sternum), in order to produce more cleavage

Re: ridge under the skin on sternum?
Hmmm, might be something to do with muscle but i think cookie had overs? and it's right at the bottom and isn't the bottom of the breast the bit thats muscle free?
As for the 2nd part, no disrespect hun but i know my surgeon hasn't done anything to try and create more cleavage because he told me,and it's in his book, that he's against that. Plus i have no cleavage!
Not too worried about it, but will make sure to mention it when i next see PS. also will not touch it as boobs are still aching! I only poked it like 3 times, oww :(

Next time you see your ps be interesting to see what it is! I'm sure all will be ok as long as its not bothering you... It's interesting aswell that cookie has the same thing but you had different placements, I've read that book btw and thought it was great xx

I was going to email him but it's pretty hard to explain so will wait until i see him unless it starts bothering me more at some point. The book is brilliant isn't it. I'm actually a bit sad now i've had my BA lol, pre op is the best bit all that excitement and research haha! xx
