Ridge in boob above crease?!!
Hi,
I'm 3 weeks post op today and at the end of last week I noticed that my right boob has a ridge about 1cm above the crease, so it kind of forms a step!!
I have emailed my PS and sent her a picture and she says that I have to push the implant downwards to fill the skin!! She says it should right itself but it doesn't stop me from worrying.
Just wondered if anyone here has experienced anything like this.

hey hun, yes same thing has happened to mine too on my right boob, it was really bad but has improved but still not totally right and im 7 weeks post op now :/ i did have saggy boobs before and was on borderline of needing uplift and this boob was also the slightly more droopier one to begin with which im not sure if it has anything to do with but i am seeing improvement slighly each week so just got to be patient everyone keeps telling me lol x

Hiya, Thanks for your reply, I thought I was the only one!! What do you do to yours? Do you have to massage it? Mine were droopy before but I asumed this had been caused by bra. Have you been told it will completely get better? Xxx

Re: Ridge in boob above crease?!!
yeah i had to wear this special bra with a big strap on my bra which pushed boobs down but at 4 weeks ive started wearing normal sports bras as cant handle the strap on that bra as cant wear any clothes properly as strap is so thick lol.. i have been massaging my boob to try help it as reasearched it and thats what it said to do and it deffo has loved down and more round the sides, i spke to my ps at 3 weeks and he said the implant needs to drop down more to fill the area out at bottom and that will stop it looking like it,but im panicking my bum off about it as i keep thiking its never gonna drop fully. i can feel the implant at the top of right breast is much higher so i know it just needs to drop but i also keep thinking what if it drops and i still ahve it wierd at bottom, mines so bad that when i tilt forwards the skin and breast tissue at bottom of that right boob kinda hangs off implant looks horrible lol :( . my left boob looks great tho lol

This could also be double bubble... a complication that is only corrected with additional surgery.

Re: Ridge in boob above crease?!!
i had a similar thing on both. is it just a small little "lip" so-to-speak? if it's similar, mine has corrected on it's own as the boobies have settled a bit. i'm almost 4 weeks post op, i noticed it between weeks 1 and 2, and has since gone. some of the best advice (and i think cookie said it) was that each breast is a separate operating and heal at different rates. xoxo

Thanks all,
Yes agtkensington it is a little lip bit, did you massage yours to help it settle? That's really positive to hear that yours corrected itself. I will try and get my pics set up somewhere and then maybe you would take a look and see if it's like yours? Do you know where is best to use for pics?
Vicky...I tilted forward to see what my boobs look like lol and they look normal. It must be difficult for you with your PS being abroad....it would be a good idea to email him some photos xxx

Daisy,
Yes, I've been massaging religously! Using the oil to massage has helped also. Let me know when you get pics up and i'll be happy to take a look. i'm no doc - but will tell you if it's similar to what i had.
as far as best place to put up pics - i've seen most of the other girls use picturetrail so that's what i used. it was pretty easy.

Thanks, I'll get some photos up later today and get back to you.
I'm also using bio oil and massaging twice a day, is there a technique to massaging or is it just like gently rubbing? Xx

Fawn is right. I don't want to worry you unnecessarily but if it doesn't right itself then make sure you insist to see your ps. I had this on both boobs (much worse on right one) but thankfully ps had be back in theatre 10 weeks after my original op.
