Sternum question Empty Sternum question

Post by bumblebabe 9th July 2010, 12:18 pm

hiya, i had my 5 week check yesterday and he was pleased with my progress and said i can wear normal bras as from next weekend,
i asked him about my raised bit inbetween my boobs, i thought it was swelling but all the swelling has gone now, my clevage sits quite high then it dips down to my ribcage,
i think to wear a underwire would be uncomfortbale as under my boobs is flat then it raises up to my clevage,
he just said its because the implant is so big its lifted the bit inbetween my boobs up,

I wouldnt wear an underwire or push up bra yet if your sternum (skin between boobs) is raising. Give it a couple more months and see if it still does it. I would wait for your boobs to heal more and hopefully it will settle back down x

Hi,

I had 410 overs and my sternum was raised slightly until about 4-5 months post op but it did go down.

I wore underwired bras from 6 weeks post op and had no problems.
