Post by Lolo85 13th April 2014, 7:52 pm

Hi ladies, does anyone have any tips. I've been quite lucky I think painwise but my sternum is quite sore and swollen. Does anybody have any tips I put a bit of arnica gel on yesterday as it was looking a little bruised.

Also I've set it a picture trail if anyone wants to have a look x

Wow what a transformation already! You must be so happy :-) They look quite similar to mine at the minute, day 3 for me. As for the bruising I was prescribed Diclofenac which is an anti inflammatory which seems to be helping. What painkillers are you taking?xx

Aw thank you. I was given extra strong prescription cocodemol and ibuprofen. I've not really had any pain apart from down the middle with the swelling. I've eased off the cocodemol though now as the nurse said if I could do without I should come off them. I'm having my stitches out on Wednesday.  How are you finding the pain?

Can't wait to get out of this bra it's very tight x

Yes they are unders, it was a little complicated because my chest had developed unevenly due to previous surgery and was ^ shaped. So my surgeon was worried about my nipples facing outwards instead of forwards plus he had to make make creases as I had no breast tissue. But I'm over the moon with them at the moment, very little pain apart from the sternum excited to see how they settle xx

Thank you for sharing your pictures with me Hun. They look fab already and a fantastic transformation from before. They will look amazing once they have healed and dropped.

When you said your chest was v shaped, was this naturally like that or was it due to your heart surgery? X

I don't know no one would tell me. They said it could have  grown like that anyway or it could have been the way my ribcage was put back together.  It was a very strange shape though right being a lot higher a few lumps and bumps in random places xx

How strange Hun, at least now you will have amazing boobs on that chest! Xx

My youngest who is 3 1/2 has an issue with her chest, it goes inwards in the middle. The doctors have taken photos to monitor it as she grows to see if it gets worse as she grows. They have said that when she has boobs, she will have an amazing cleavage but her nipples could face each other because the chest is dipped in the middle.
