Can I dye my hair before my BA? Empty Can I dye my hair before my BA?

Bit of a stupid question, but I usually dye my hair blue-black as it's brown naturally and I prefer dark. Can I dye may hair say, tomorrow, which would be a week and one day before my op? Not sure if I would be able to mess about with chemicals so close to my op date but I really want to dye my hair! xxx

Lots of ladies dye their hair pre-op hun and are just fine, infact I've never heard of anyone having any problems shrug . I personally decided to leave mine till 2 weeks post-op when I had a Salon appointment booked and it really perked me up having a little pamper and feeling all back to myself and nice and fresh.

Its up to you hun, but if you are overly concerned at all it doesn't take a minute to just give your clinic a quick call and check with them babe. Xx

I did mine the week before my BA, my clinic said it would be fine. I havnt seen anything on here with regards to dying hair. I also did it about 2 weeks after my BA to cheer myself up lol xx

I'm not overly concerned, was just a query. I've got a salon appointment booked a week post op as well (day after I have my first post op appointment and stitches trimmed), as I think I'll need it! xxx

I bleached mine the day before my first surgery and then I dyed it blue the day before my revision!!

Hair dye will have no effect whatsoever on ur BA day x

ooh great question selena, and thanks for the answers ladies!

i really want to re-dye my roots before my surgery (i'm not naturally blonde) so i don't look quite as crap when recovering and also don't want to have to do it so early post op because of the whole raising your arms above your head thing lol!

Hair dye is ok but if u hav gel nails it's advised to remove at least one from each hand preferably the index finger xx

I did mine just before my BA, there was nothing in my pre op instructions which said not to do so.

I colored mine a week before my op, my PS said it wouldn't be a problem.
