Washing hair?!
I know this may sound random but...How did you wash you hair PO and when?
I HATE having dirty hair and can only last 1 day between washes and that's using dry shampoo too!

Re: Washing hair?!
After my op I wasn't allowed to get my boobs and dressings wet, so couldn't shower and was only allowed shallow baths (washing my top half with a damp flanel). Some people get a partner/friend/etc to help them, they usually lean over a bath and get them to wash their hair for them with the shower head. I myself didn't wash my hair for the 1st 3 days, but |I didn't really feel like doing much. After 3 days I couldn't stand it, so got a jug, filled the bath and threw jugs of water over my head, washed my hair and then threw jugs over water again. It wasn't the best wash, as I couldn't quite get all the soap out but I felt much cleaner.
Other people book a salon appointment for a wash and style, to treat themselves after a few days.

Re: Washing hair?!
Lol, I can see me sitting in the bath wrapped in a bin bag! I may book in the granny hair salon that's close to me. Would you recommend day 3-4 PO I maybe feeling ok for a quick visit out?

Re: Washing hair?!
I'm sure you'll be fine, although I wouldn't recommend driving, but a little walk is ok or getting a lift. You'll only be sat in a chair really so should be ok. See how you feel after, if you need to cancel because you aren't feeling up to it, then so be it.
Re: Washing hair?!
Yes that's what I was thinking :) my mum will be taking the boys to school so I grab a lift with her ;) x

Re: Washing hair?!
I was thinking that too Lisa, ill try a wash at the hairdressers first and then do that after. I'm worried about lifting up my arms, lol. I still can remember the pain of engorgment and having masitis and that was bad enough, lol.xx

Re: Washing hair?!
Yeah I remember that feeling! Everyone heals and feels pain differently but I had no pain or tightness at all hun, and could lift my arms straight away x but a hairdressers appointment for a wash and blow dry will definatly make you feel better x

Re: Washing hair?!
I got my OH to wash mine 3 days after x Then I was able to was my own day6 but very gently I was lucky and didnt have much stiffness in my arms xxx I was also up and about the day after although was taking it very easy xxx Think everyones process is different, I was shocked at how well I felt, although daily naps were needed for the 1st 5 days, just to rest and get over the GA and everything xxxx But it depends on the individual i reckon, each girls thresholds and pain and stiffness etc. differ x

Re: Washing hair?!
Slightly going off subject but did or had anyone had their underarms waxed was just thinking if you can't lift your arms up then I'm guessing you can't shave? Have never had an under arm wax anybody think it is worth doing? X

Re: Washing hair?!
The best way is probably over the bath, with someone to help. And you can't lift your arms up to shave properly no x

Re: Washing hair?!
I think the only option is to lock ourselves away for two weeks! Luckily I picked half term week to have my op so no school run I can hide away with my dirty hair and armpit hair - ill have to restrict visitors to a minimum!! X

Re: Washing hair?!
Think i was 3 days post op when i did mine and i was in quite a lot of pain but that was my breaking point, i had to wash my hair then. The hubby was making a right hash of it so i told him to sod off out the bathroom then and i did it myself by leaning over the bath and using the shower head. It worked a treat and was quite easy for me to do whereas i couldn't have leaned backwards over the sink in the hairdressers x
Re: Washing hair?!
Lol balamory, I wouldn't trust my hubby to help.
Happy, I'm between 420 - 460! My ps didn't have the 460 to try out so I'm needing to go back now for a 3rd time. From reading what everyone says about boob greed I'm thinking 460 would get me look of 410! I haven't brought the pillow but I do have a pillow that's more of a u shape and is bean bag type fill. I really need to order in some surgical bras but not sure on what size. X

Re: Washing hair?!
I know what you mean it's really hard isn't it. I was stuck between 360 and 410 but then went with 410! I only hope that's right - what is weird is people who have the same size implants with similar stats end up such different sizes at the end, I guess until u gave it done we won't know! Heh at least it's the 1st may today at least I can say this month I'm getting new boo s yaaaaaahhhhh xx

Re: Washing hair?!
Lol, I'm also making typos for this reason ;)
I know it is so individual and what looks great on one girl may not suit another quite as well! For me I know it's only a 40g difference but i worry about how much of a difference that may have once they are in!
My belly just did a little flip when you said new boobs this month! Eeek!
