Hi all, my job is mostly based at a desk, I'm just wondering, how long have other people stayed off work in a similar job after having BA? X

Hi I am taking two weeks off but have said if I feel ok then I will go back earlier I guess it is hard to judge - have read that some girls can't even use a stapler or hole punch when they get back to work I think I will surprise myself how much u rely on your chest muscles and don't even realise!! You don't realise how much you use your chest muscles, and for silly thing too! I would say 2 weeks is enough time before returning to a desk job x

I asked my surgeon and he said a week, I work in accounts and also process orders which requires a lot of stapling..now I'm slightly worried that I might not be able to do that! I've used all my holiday up so will only have a week off to recover. Maybe I might ask work for a electric stapler lol x

I'm exactly the same, I was told a week off so am a bit concerned now, and with me not wanting to tell anyone at work it'll be hard to make up an excuse not to staple/hole punch something (maybe I'll say I've pulled a muscle) or mayme I'll hide my stapler and tell them I've lost it Smike x

I work at a desk and took 2 weeks off, I do have a half hour drive to work so I wanted to make sure I could manage the drive before going back.

I went back after a week - and i only drive 10 mins to work. I would have taken at least 10 days if i had known. I was quite weak and slow so it was hard to cover up my op. I managed but I was exhausted grumpy, achy and stuff by the end of the first 3 days.

Its harder than you think! 2 Weeks if you can without a problem. Its doable in a week if you can be super careful and don't mind discomfort and being limited. I was quite uncomfy and I'm pretty tough and had a breeze recovery compared to some, and i had small implants to I think mine was maybe less invasive? xx

I went to a job interview at day 7 I think, a week is absolutely fine, I would have loved to have longer but I wouldn't waste holiday sitting at home, use it in a bikini later in the year!! X
