I'm 12 days post op and would hate to get in the middle of kids fighting.  My arms are much more mobile now but I'm still very sore to touch, I can't imagine it will be easy for you Langers to be perfectly honest. I'm even scared of someone bumping into me in the mad crush at the school gates! Its not just that your boobs will still be sore but you probably won't have any strength, so pushing or pulling two kids apart could be impossible and you might end up doing damage.  Is there any way you could ask to not do those duties for a couple of days? Or ask for a taser gun haha! x

I might ask to do light duties for a while.

If you definitely have to go back, you'll be able to go to your gp and they can give you a note for light duties x

Bloomin heck, thats a crazy shift pattern!! Id definitely give your GP a visit then, just explain your situation and they should be happy to give you a fit note for light duties x

You don't want to do anything that might jeopardise your recovery so definately ask your GP for a line for light duties, perhaps in the office or something if they have one. Any housework like hoovering etc or heavy lifting ....should be avoided for at least  6 weeks too.

I agree with Mirren. See your GP Langers explaining the nature of your job and the recovery period of your healing (generally around 6 weeks but best to ask your surgeon). your surgeon can sign you onto light duties giving the reason as only 'General Surgery' so it'll be very discreet Langers. You've no need to explain more than you've had general surgery and won't be able to do heavy duties until whatever time your surgeon specifies for you.

Nothing is worth compromising your new boobs for babe, so although you have to go to work, they can put you on light duties :ok:

Physically I don't think you'll be ready. I was still struggling with heavy doors after 3wks. Definitely get a light duties note if you can, try and stick to paperwork and supervision rather than getting in the thick of things.
