How soon did you start driving after...?
I have only taken a week off work so I'm hoping when I go back. Shall be able to drive? My fiancé does not drive which makes it difficult taking the little one to nursery before work.
I'd also like to know when I can for a celebration drink?!
Obviously these two occasions will not be mixed ;)

I was driving about a week after my op Hun. It's whenever you feel you can, generally about a week though. And surgeons very with drinking, but my advice was no alcohol for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after my surgery. I still havnt had a drink, I'm a bit scared to be honest lol xx

Re: How soon did you start driving after...?
You'll be on anti-bs for a week hun so no drinking at all on those and you absolutely won't be feeling at all like drinking anyway in the first week.
I'd give yourself at least 2 weeks lovely and even then I'd make it a quiet one because you'll still be tiring very easily and also the thought of going somewhere crowded just isn't going to be anything at all you'll want to do because if you take a knock in those boobs for at least 3 months believe me you'll know about it! (think about a man getting a good kick between the legs... That's what I'd compare it too. It really does bring you to your knees).
Its going to be at least a week also before you're able to drive and even then you should check your insurance to ensure you're covered. You may even still find it hurts to drive too hun so be prepared to have a cab number at hand just incase you need it. Xx

I to drove a week after but felt I needed to drive like when your doing your test. So I just threaded the wheel through my hands rather than reaching one all the way round.
I can't help you with the drinking I'm afraid as I don't drink. I wasn't given any antibiotics though. I read somewhere no drinking 48 he's after ga but check with the ps x

When I drove the OH to the train station this morning for his work I was trying to imagine what it would be like, then I just got super excited because in a month's time I will have boooobies

I drove 10 days post op. changing gear is the worst bit! Getting small children in the car even harder! I didn't ask when I could have a drink & as no one said not to I had a cheeky glass of wine 4days (ish) post op and went out for dinner and drinks 10 days post op!

Re: How soon did you start driving after...?
Yeah I'm hoping within a week I will be ok. I have taken a week off work. If I'm unable to drive though I might work from home as I have the option to do that. X
