Time between consultation and surgery?
Hello ladies, not been on here for a while, was thinking of getting a boob job a couple of years ago, saved up, went to an open evening at spire and saw a ps at hospital group...then bought a car instead. Then it got pushed aside again this year as we were saving for a house. However, we're now settled and in a good financial position, so I'm ready to take the plunge!!! Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of how long it takes to get a date for surgery after seeing a surgeon. I know that different places will have different waiting times but it would just be good to get an idea. I don't want to see a surgeon too early. Thanks in advance. Sorry if there's any errors, I'm doing this on my phone and it keeps messing up and wont let me view the post to proof read..x

Re: Time between consultation and surgery?
You can have surgery as early as 2 weeks from consultation, I think 4-6 weeks is normal. x

Hi Huni x I think it varies from clinic to clinic, sometimes you can get late booking slots if your able to have surgery at short notice. I had a consultation with the surgeon I chose on, 1st feb and I had my BA on 2nd march x I hope that helps Hun x good luck x

Re: Time between consultation and surgery?
There's generally a window of four months open when planning for surgery babe, so do have your consultations at least 4 months before booking the date you want to ensure you have the best chance of getting it. . Xx

That's great, thanks very much. I could just imagine myself going for a consultation too early and then having to pay put for another one. Hoping to go with Douglas mcgeorge at spire Cheshire, done my research but I'm hoping he's nice in person. Very nervous about the general anesthetic too.x

He's direct, but happy to be questioned and is very good at explaining your surgery plan to you. If there's anything at all you don't understand then do ask babe. He prefers that you understand everything.
With Mr McGeorge I'd suggest you call and ask how long the waiting is for him. Being a high profile surgeon there could be a much longer wait to have surgery with him lovely. Xx

Mine was 7 weeks, I chose it though. I could of had it earlier but wanted to easter half term so I had no school runs to do. x

When I went to Transform the lady told me I could be booked in for an op the following week. I thought this was a bit soon and I also wanted myself and my fiancé to be off work together so that he can take the little one to nursery or stop her from climbing all over me :-)
I have booked a month in advance xx

Re: Time between consultation and surgery?
I knew I wanted surgery for the start of June. So I booked my consultation for the 26th March then my sizing appointment was on Monday past (8th April). If you have a specific date you would like for surgery I would definitely have your consultation as soon as you can as I had an option for different dates :)

Re: Time between consultation and surgery?
I'd have mine done now if I could, but need to safe all of the money still and arrange time off from work which is difficult in retail for long periods as I am the manager. Although from my understanding most places want you to wait at least a couple of weeks to decide on everything and be sure on what you want etc etc.
