I have anatomicals (unders) and have been told 6 weeks in a bra 23 hours a day! It's more comfy anyway - I sleep in my Macom and spend the day in my Triumph- totally not sexy!! ha

I can sleep how I feel comfortable but at the moment and still propped up a bit as I get stuck if I'm flat and can't get up without a lot of strain across my chest muscles:( I haven't been told not to side-sleep but I'm too tender to do it yet.

cookie - floppy boobs with socks inbetween?!?! I can't even imagine such a thing - please tell me when will they flop? I'll get the socks ready...

I ended up sleeping on my side loads last night. I did a bit the night before so prepared last night by putting a sock between the girls. I cuddles my v pillow and slept really well. No morning boob or aches at all. :0) x

Haha! As the swelling starts settling and you gain a little movement instead of remaining static on the chest when you roll on your side your bottom boob against the bed and your upper boob will naturally sit on top creating cleavage, now cleavage on your side early post-op can make your boobs ache - A LOT! So the socks help keep your boobs static. The more your boobs soften and get squidgey laying on your side when the top boob falls on the bottom will eventually cause wrinkles on the chest.

I actually use something called a Kush to help prevent this but a pair of soft socks will do.

You'll know what I mean when your boobs become lovely and soft and squidgey :ok: xx

Are you still wearing your Macom? Reason I ask is that I had been sleeping on my side comfortably in the shockabsorber ( which has cups supporting each boob) but since changing to my Macom I am struggling on my side. The top boob aches but isn't soft enough to move yet if you know what I mean. I love my Macom but am going to try sleeping in my shockabsorber again tonight. Do you have a bra with cups you could try at night?

The socks you're using must be too wide for your cleavage hun. Just try rolling in one of the socks and see how that goes?

Redtulip, same for you. The reason the top boob hurts is because its not yet loosened up and is still trying to adhere to the pocket so it 'needs' support. The rolled socks between your boobs or a rolled face flannel help just add a cushion of support so its not flopping toward the bottom boob before its ready.

I found even with cups, the support from the socks or a rolled flannel really made all the difference. Xx

Redtulip- I sleep in my Macom & think I will start trying to side sleep - but wouldn't I need to put the socks/ support inside the Macom as it doesn't have cups??

It has taken me 2 weeks to get from propped up to flat on my back - so I'm guessing side-sleeping isn't going to be a quick transition for me!!

I haven't tried the sick technique. Sounds good will give it a go.

Boo- yes think we'd have to put them between our boobs under the Macom for it to work. My OH is going to think I've gone mad!!

Erm... Im still sleeping with 2 pillows and the V pillow, haven't even thought of sleeping to my side. Nurse said I can sleep flat but to make sure I don't roll to the side at my check up. Maybe I should call n check, but who would have believed it that I'm actually comfortable in the current sleeping position :-)
