Re: sleeping on your side
I slept on my side fairly early on. However, as I was so propped up on pillows I didn't squash my boobies at all. I too could just not get a decent sleep on my back... I think I managed one week propped upright on my back and after that I was still propped up but on my side.
10 months on and I always sleep either on my side or even on my front with no problems at all.

Yeah I tend to sleep on my side already too but like Angel, propped up with pillows, so don't squash the jewels! #

THANKS ANGEL
i slept for 9 nights propped up with a wedge oillow and a v pillow, this wasnt too bad, but now im lieing flat with just 1 pillow, i find myself wanting to roll over on my side and have to stop myself, might keep it up untill my 6 weeks is over then see how i get on on my side.

Re: sleeping on your side
nurse has just replied with the following -
"You can sleep on your side when you do not feel any pain doing so".
so if your comfy doing so then all is good! xx

Re: sleeping on your side
I slept on my side quite early on too. If it's not painful you should be ok. I sleep on my front now with no problems. xx

Re: sleeping on your side
I slept on my side last night and it was much more comfortable but i mostly sleep propped up a bit on my back to reduce swelling x
Re: sleeping on your side
I had the exact same backache, it was horrid. I started sleeping on my side about 2-3 weeks post op. xx

Re: sleeping on your side
I cant recall when I slept on my side without pillows? think around the 2-3month mark though. Sleeping upright initially is to help swelling and prevent it building up in your chest, and to enable the implants to settle into your body without disruption to the best of my knowledge.
So when it feels right do it is what I went with. Your body will let you know otherwise. xx

Re: sleeping on your side
I slept on my side after 2 weeks, felt weird so I had to hug a pillow or the duvet as my boob felt really heavy otherwise
Re: sleeping on your side
My ps said it was fine to sleep on your side after two weeks (though I was tending to roll over onto my side in my sleep after about day 3 tbh!).
