How are you Hangle and Halo doing today with the recovery? Feeling ok? Midgie, how are you going to sleep tonight?! All packed and ready? Not long now, just hours to go! xxx
Yep Hangle have everything bar the ice packs which I am just about to order on ebay. List as follows, let me know if I've missed anything?
All important V pillow
Soft sponge
Wet wipes
Arnica 30
Hibi wash
Vit E cream (have been using last two wks)
Pull up night dress
Zip up tops and jogging bottoms for going home
Two macom bras
Piriton
Senacot
I think that's the key bits and pieces? Anything else you think I should need? xxx

Re: June Buddies
You are much more organised than I was! Sounds like you have the main things what about easy slip on shoes? I wore ballet ones and they looked lovely with my white stockings and jogging bottoms will you have someone looking after you?
I'm feeling good thanks, today has been my turning point day. Still wake up feeling stiff and get the odd funny sensations here and there but am off the paracetamol now. I've got my one week check up tomorrow to get the wounds checked and hopefully bandages off.
Midgiebites how are you feeling? So exciting! Xx

Re: June Buddies
Cheers for checking my list for me Hangle! I was going to wear flip flops home, to complete the lovely casual no effort whatsoever look! But will take ballet pumps too, just in case weather isn't suitable for flip flops! At present, I won't have anyone looking after me, am trying to do this quietly but I'm starting to struggle with having to cancel plans with my friends and rearranging due to my surgery reschedule, I don't like letting my friends down and the are starting to notice. How have you found the last week, do you think you could have done it alone?
Ah glad to hear you're feeling better and it's a turning point, coming off the paracetomol is a good sign! Hope it all goes well tomorrow Hangle, will this be the big reveal? First time you've seen the new boobies without bandages? Let us know how it goes tomo, good luck! xxx

Re: June Buddies
First few days were pretty tough (but I've never gone through pain or an operation so think I was just feeling sorry for myself). Make sure that things are easily accessible as its hard to reach up. Also bit of food prep so you've got meals that are quick and easy. How are you getting to and from hopsital? We will all be here for support :)
Halo I've got a tiny bit of dried blood on my lefty bandage. Hope you are ok, when are you back for check up?
Thank you vix- when are you die for yours? Xx

Re: June Buddies
Thanks Hangle hun, that's good to know! I'm kinda relying on my virtual buddies for every boobie need at the mo! I've booked the transport package provided by THG on the day and I've also booked a car for the one week check up post op so that aspect should be ok. Am relying on Tesco home delivery for everything else!! xxx
Ah sorry to hear about the bleeding Halo, are the clinic keeping an eye on that for you? Have they given you any extra medication? How is your tummy doing too? Hope your OH is looking after you and you're resting lots? On an entirely different but still essential note, can you believe Tina has given up the baby?! Glad she finally came to her senses though!! Make sure you're putting your feet up Halo and keeping up with those soaps!! And most defo taking the laptop, internet withdrawal symptoms will be too much to bear!! I need my wifi fix!!! :yes:Hope you're doing ok hun, sending you healing hugs! xxx

Re: June Buddies
woohooo eddy, so chuffed for you hun!!
sounds like you have a pretty good list there!
i would echo slip on shoes as you'll still be wearing the sexy DVT stockings so flipflops might be a little awkward.
what about slippers and dressing gown for the hospital?
def icepacks like vix said.
if you're well prepared hun i'm sure you should be okay doing it alone, however, THG insisted i have someone with me for the first 48hours after discharge, due to GA still being in the system etc. have they said the same to you? would you have someone who would be able to keep an eye on you?
yes def have everything you need within reach and have some pre-prepared meals or ready meals you can stick in the microwave.
for the hospital you may want to take lipbalm, some hard sweets or throat lozenges as some girls will have a slight sore throat from the breathing tube, and some snacks if you want.
and plenty of stuff to keep you entertained while you're waiting, laptop phone books etc!
so excited for you :)
midgie must be nearly on her way now? can't wait to hear how things go!
girls getting your dressings off soon you're lucky, mine stay on for 3 weeks! they are very discrete though, skincoloured tape, so not really a big deal.. what with the binder and everything! ;)
glad it sounds like everyone's doing well!! x

Re: June Buddies
hope everyone is doing ok. back from my appointment with the nurse to have my dressings removed. She said they are healing perfectly, I now have nothing over them which is a little bit scary! I can still continue to shower, wear sports bras for another 5 weeks and she said to throw the dvt stockings in the bin! Apparently I'm the third person that has told her the nurse on the ward wrote two weeks in the discharge notes.
Hope midgiebites is ok! xx
