Evening girls!

Yeah good point Blue, did not think of the stockings!  That would be have an even sexier look!! Ok flips are off the list, will bring pumps instead for going home. Yep have dressing gown/slippers and all toiletries sorted, thanks for reminder on lozenges, I will no doubt get a sore throat!  yes

THG did raise the point about having someone with me in the first 48hrs but I'm thinking I'll just end up sleeping for most of it and I don't really want to disturb my friends/family for that. How did you guys spend your first few days? Mostly asleep? Or do you think you wouldn't have been able to manage without someone there? Be good to hear all your thoughts? I will call a friend if I feel awful and need someone there but I will try it alone first, I'm going to prep lots so I'm hoping I'll be ok. Thanks for all the tips though hun! xx

Halo hun hope the sterile gauze does the trick with your wounds, have heard good things about it so hopefully that will take care of the bleeding for you. Make sure you defo rest! That is supposed to be key! Hug

Congrats on the post op Hangle, sounds like you're healing brilliantly, those are defo the magic words I wanna hear when I get to my post op (finally!). Do you have another wk off? you can probably go shopping for all new stuff now!! xx

Hi Sarah, welcome to June, not long for you at all! Good luck for Friday!  good luck  Do you have everything you need?

Hope everyone is doing ok! Sophia, oh no!! Did you get ice packs for your boobies, if so, use that on your arm!(may as well get multi use out of them!!)

Hey Ladies,

Had my boobs done on the 14th so 12 days post today.
Feeling alright. I can sleep on my side again which i LOVE!!
However my boobs are still a little sore... Just touching them feels awkward. Like the sensation. Kinda burns? Its so hard to discribe. But even my bra rubbing on them or my shirt and it feels weird.
Also my nipple sensation is not very good - will this improve over time again?
I also still cant really push them together - like to make cleavage?!? LOL when can i do this?
They are getting a tad softer but not enough to bounce and look real.
Are all yours the same at around 12 days post?
Im still in my proper bra that i have to wear fro 6 weeks.
Just curious what they should feel and look like now.

Thanks.

welcome aboard midge :) your sickness will pass hun, I hope you managed to sleep okay, was really looking forward to hearing how you got on  :)
eddy, the first 48hours are when you'll want to do not much. It's difficult sometimes getting up but the bum shuffle will help! lol lots of cushions on your sofa may help too so you don't have to use your arms to push yourself up. and keep painkiller nearby :)
good luck to Sophia for today
aussie, I'm only a week in but I have not  lot of sensation at the moment, I think it's meant to be normal  and some girls take longer than others for it to return. The funny feelings your having maybe feeling returning? nice to hear you can side sleep, I hate sleeping on my back, and from what I've seen on here, your cleavage will come in time. Still very early post op really xx

Hi Aussie. Im nearly 4wks, and one of my nips is still totally numb. Its started reacting to hot and cold, but i cant feel it at all! The other one - SUPER sensitive! It'll take a while for everything to return to normal as you're healing. And you still have soo much softening to do, so dont be worried you cant get cleavage yet! Mine are still rock solid, theyre not going anywhere!

Tried side sleeping this week - FAIL. Tried a rolled up flannel inbetween, hugging the V pillow, nothing worked, its just so painful, especially when I wake up. So its the toss up between mega achy boobs, or mega achy back. I just want to sleeeeeep sad smile

midge, great to hear you're doing okay hun! once you've gotten over the sickness and had something to eat am sure you'll feel loads better too!

hangle great news on your post op!

halo how are you doing, things starting to heal?

ooh its sophia's turn today, hope she gets on okay!

sarah, welcome to june buddies! have you put your date in the calendar entries section of this site so we can all wish you good luck on the day? what size implants are you going for, and which surgeon?

aussiechic, i'm only 5days post but from what i've read here from plenty of other girls that all sounds normal so far! :) bliss that you can sleep on your side again, i'm seriously sick of this backsleeping thing!

eddy, i think you're brave wanting to do it on your own! will THG discharge you if you say you don't have anyone with you for the first 48h? i know MYA once told me at a consultation that they would insist.
i'm sure it is possible to do it on your own if you really have to, with prepping everything like listed above. but you will feel tired and exhausted and its great not having to get up for each new drink or icepack you need. i personally needed someone to push me up for the first 2 days, and then i mastered the bum shuffle.
i don't want to dishearten you at all hun, and like i said you're a brave lady and am sure you would manage, but if you could pre-arrange for someone to be there for a while or at least pop in now and again i think that would really help.

vix i love your avi, going to try and put one up today or tomorrow :)

Post by Midgiebites 26th June 2013, 11:10 am

Hey ladies!!!

Well that's me home. I am much more with it today. Had 20mg morphine iv yesterday (which is quite a lot for me as I'm quite small).  Mr Shoaib said I was so sore because I kept pushing myself around the bed with my arms. Stopped that now and doing the good old bum shuffle. Feel like I've done 1000 push ups and still quite sleepy but good apart from that. Gonna keep on top of the painkillers and rest today as I have my 3 year old daughters dance show tonight and I CAN'T miss that! As for the bangers, I am very chuffed!! Have started a bit of a picture trail so if anyone wants a look PM me (they are about 20 hrs old) would love an honest opinion.

Blue, looking forward to seeing ur avi Hun!

Eddy as long as you have someone on hand INCASE you need them, if u don't that's great but at least u have an option.

Charlii i am with you on the back sleeping and that was my first night! Haha.

Box and Hangle can't believe that's been a week already!! I'm gonna look grey in my avo compared to you both!! Well jel (but who cares - I have breasticles!!) woohoo

Sorry if I've missed anyone - on my phone - need to get laptop out

I know vix, I'm just being impatient coz I'm grouchy! I will persevere week on week!

Good to hear everyones getting on well, nearly all on the other side!

So one thing I didnt account for post op - nipples! Not even the soreness or chaffing, more of the 'omg there out there for the world to see because i havnt got 17inches of padding covering them up'! I know all the solutions, it was just a shock to see them there!

Charlii i hear ya!! All I really had left was 2 large nipples (thanks to my 2 kiddies and their dyson powered suck during breastfeeding! Lol) now I have my macom on and they're rather prominent!! At least there kind of in proportion to my boobs now! Laughing at the 17 inches of padding! I'm gonna burn all the triple xl padded bras in favour of sext feminine balconette bras when the time comes!!! Xxx

aw thanks hangle, so does yours! yes

i'm feeling good thanks, yesterday and today were real turning points for me, and i haven't taken any pain meds for over 24h now! so pleased :)

glad you got your dressings off, mine are staying on for 6 weeks! though i don't mind them, its just the binder that will take some skill to disguise when i go back to work..

Sounds like you are doing really well, coming off pain killers is great feeling.

I've not heard about wearing a binder before. Is it visible under clohtes? It's interesting how surgeons/clinics have different aftercare when it comes to bras, dressings etc. Personally I would prefer the dressings on for a bit longer as I'm a worrier and feels weird having the scars exposed against my sports bras.

I've finally got round to uploading my pics to my laptop and up on picture trail. If anyone would like to see (got pics of the scars too) pm me and will send the password x

Honestly Blue, the binder just looks like you've got a vest top on underneath (at least that's what I keep telling myself!) 17more day for me and I'm free of the ruddy thing!

i'll just have to play around with some clothing options, at least if the weather stays as it is i can keep wearing scarves as well which will be a great cover up.

hangle i suppose you could always put some more micropore tape on your scars if it makes you feel more secure?

charlii the countdown for you is on till you're free of the binder!
