THG girlies - Did anyone else get get put in a room over the back, where all you could hear was a ruddy farm? I just remembered this! The ENTIRE time I was there, all I could hear was mooing, baaing, and a ruddy c0ckeral that just would NOT shut up! Sophia, was reading how you couldnt sleep, so wondered if this was the culprit!!

Re: June Buddies
charlii your post made me laugh, yes i was at the back towards the farm (room 19), and the cockerel was quite insistent and then they let the sheep onto the field right outside my window but i've got to say i enjoyed it as i love the countryside but don't get out of london too often so hearing the sheep made me smile :)
and i slept like a log anyway, probably the remainder of the GA ;)

Re: June Buddies
Hi all!
Charlii, Blue and Kitty - all your Avi's look FAB!! I'm feeling left out too Midgie!! I can't wait!! Hope you're all healing well, especially Sophia and Midgie, are you both pleased with your results? Hi to Halo, Vix and hangle and welcome to Aussie! I'm a THG Dolan girl Charlii, wonder which view I'll get, Car Park or mooing animals??! I'll be happy with either, just want the boobies done!
Thanks for your words of advice Blue on first few days, not brave at all, perhaps a little naïve and somewhat stubbornly independent?! :-) I'm having an uplift which is a more invasive procedure so I understand why it's recommended to have someone around. But having said that, I still really don't think its necessary while I mooch and sleep! I could be wrong though so I will absolutely call on my close friends if I need to, I don't want to put myself at risk or compromise my recovery. I am prepping lots, for example I'm getting bottled waters and will leave them all in easy reach in the lounge and bedroom, so water is always at hand, will have tablets all at hand too. I deliberately didn't go with Transform as they were insistent I had someone with me. THG were a bit more flexible when I enquired about it, they weren't insistent, just simply said it was recommended. It's not that I want to be secretive but with everything that has happened in the last year, I don't want my friends worrying about me again, especially when this is elective. I was with my STBX hubby for almost two decades (met as teenagers) and having been in a couple for that long, I'm at that stage where I want to prove I can do EVERYTHNG on my own, which I do appreciate isn't the best reason as this should be about safe and ensuring that I recover. I also generally don't like to be fussed over, it would stress me out having someone try and look after me so for me, with the way I am presently, it's better I do this alone to start. I was wondering the other day who I should put down as my NOK, but then chances of anything happening is slim, so it doesn't really matter who I put down! Thanks for your input Blue, I am going to try and practice the bum shuffle over the next 12 days!!! xxx

Re: June Buddies
morning eddy, your big day is around the corner and getting ever closer. I totally get you wanting to be independent especially after the last few months for you, but just wanted to say to make sure IF you really did need any help at home make sure you have someone you could call? I know if you were my friend having surgery and you hurt yourself by slightly overdoing it i would have wanted you to call :) especially in the first few days. I was terrible I didn't want to ask my oh to do anything at all and tried doing it myself. just make sure you don't over stretch or try and do too much, like you're doing, everything at arms length and don't stress thessmall stuff in the early stages because it gets better everyday :)
I hope everyone else is doing okay
kitty, I still have numbness in places and it is such a weird feeling. fingers crossed it all comes back soon!
midge and Sophia how are you feeling? can't wait to see your avis xx

Haha, Vix, I got hubby to do EVERYTHING!!! Punishment for the last 7yrs! Its backfired now though, he tore his ACL in his knee at basketball, so will have to have surgery himself. Still, it was nice being waited on hand and foot for a couple weeks

Re: June Buddies
Im so much better this end of the week to what I was at the beginning. I think getting out and back into the office has forced more movement, so its helping to stretch out the muscles. Mornings are still achy, but getting there! Im still just finding it so weird them being there, especially when my arm brushes the sideboob! Yours doing ok? They look awesome!

Re: June Buddies
eddy as long as you're sensible and don't do too much you'll be fine, but don't be too proud to call for help if you need to :)

Re: June Buddies
Looks like we have one more to go, Louann17 is on Sunday! Then we will all be boobified!
OH is pretty bummed out, he loves BBall, been playing nearly 20yrs. I warned him he was getting old, but we were both a bit shocked he did this. He's doing ok, im just sick of hearing about it already! Luckily we have PMI through my job, otherwise itd be NHS or £12k!!!
15 more binder days, woo! I think i can start some light exercise too then! I'll sit on the exercise bike rather than the couch to watch trashy TV!

Thanks Blue, Vix and Hangle, will defo make the call if I need to. Like I said before, I may be underestimating the first few days, if I am I will defo come clean to a couple of friends. Blue, I have been practising not using arms to get out of bed, I totally get what you mean by bum shuffle now!! :-) xx
How you all doing? Halo how are the new sterile strips working? Hoping your wounds are doing better hun? How's the showers Hangle, I think I will be the same, worried about scar and water too soon. How are feelings in your Vix, any improvement? Blue hope dinner out went well, not too tiring? Hope everyone is having a good recovery! Xx

oh and dinner was fine, it was just a 10min walk to the restaurant, so that was okay, but i am currently still limiting myself to one outing a day to make sure i don't overdo things x
