Re: June Buddies
Only 12 days to go for me......needless to say, the nerves have well and truly kicked in! It's my 30th birthday next week as well and I can't drink!!!!!!! Oh well, I'm sure my birthday present to myself will be worth sacrificing the alcohol! How's everyone feeling now their BA days are nearly here? xxx

Yey, tomorrow! I even made the front page! Just been for my last run for a while, so now to get packing!
Halo, the Travelodge is about 5min drive down the same road and about £20ish per night.
Wish me luck ladies, I'll let you all know how it goes

Re: June Buddies
I've made a date next week to go shopping with my mum. I only really need a V-pillow and some toiletries, oh and a nightshirt as I do want to have to be pulling on pyjamas!!!! My surgeon provides a Macom bra which I'll need to keep on for a week and can only take off at my one week Post op appointment, so I may wait and see what size he puts me in......and then send the boyfriend out to by me some more sports bras in that size!!!!!

Re: June Buddies
wow june is a busy month after all!!! i remember when i was the first june buddy on here and was desperately hoping for more girls to come and join me :) but i did book quite far in advance because my work.. so am glad you're all here and we can support each other!
i've finally done all of my shopping (i think)! am going to list the things here in case it helps anyone else pre-op:
V pillow (from argos, and its massive)
Macom and a couple of others sportsbras (1x in a cup size bigger to allow for swelling)
bra extenders (cheap from ebay)
wide button up top, 2 other wide long sleeve tops and 2 vest tops all of which are stretchy enough to pull on from the bottom in case i can't lift my arms )all one size bigger than my usual, and from primark)
bio oil
antiseptic wound wipes just in case i need to clean my incisions when changing dressings
back heat patches as back ache seems so common
paracetamol!!
anti itch cream and piriteze anti-allergy tablets to combat any itches
soft sponge for the shower
face cleansing wipes
'lady' wipes
baby wipes
and i also made sure to stock up on all of my usual toiletries including heavy shampoo bottles, body lotions, everything, so that i don't run out and have to go and buy stuff early post op.
hope this helps, and if anyone has anything else, please do share :) x

Re: June Buddies
Ladies, I have my boobies! 340cc hp unders! Super sore at the moment, and weirdly square. Everything is all good though. Once I'm on a proper keyboard, I'll put a full account up in surgery stories.
