which clinic are you going with hun xx
I live in northern ireland so my clinic is called Fitzwilliam Clinic.. they are based in Belfast. :) I am 100% sure you will make the right decision by you hun.. if aftercare makes you feel more at ease then going to see another surgeon won't do any harm!!:) xx

Re: June Buddies
halo, that would b great if it was compulsory for surgeons tohave to do a reop. do you know what the time scale is for that? And I think I will enquire as to buying extra cover in case it's an option
Thanks eddy, I'm confident now ill get it sorted and if I have to wait then I will do.
g and Blue you're right just kicking myself I didn't do this earlier. but maybe it's happened for a reason.:)
so excited for you girls, it's so close for you now. Can't wait to hear how you all get on xx

Hi kitty, it depends what one your on. I'm on yasmin and was told to stop taking it few weeks before (I stopped quite soon after I booked, as soon as I finished my pack). My sister didn't have to stop taking hers before her ba (can't remember which one she on). Best bet is to ring your clinic hun just for peace of mind :) x

Re: June Buddies
mushrooms is a new one i wonder why?
but kitty don't worry, it seems different for everyone!
my clinic (THG) told me i didn't need to stop taking the/ a pill before my BA, they didnt even know which one i was one but don't think its necessary for a standard BA. They would advise to stop taking it for more invasive procedures though.
i double checked this with my surgeon and he is also completely happy for me to continue taking it, which is great, makes my life easier!
he is also happy that i just put tape over my ear piercing and i don't have to remove it, awesome news!!
girls i'm just psyching myself up to transfer the rest of the money, its soooo muuuuch!! :( xx

Hey hun, my surgeon didn't tell me to come off it but it does reduce your risk of DVT so i decided to come off it for my own peace of mind.. some surgeons recommend it.. others aren't as fussy. Mine knew i was on the pill and didn't seem overly concerned! xxx

Re: June Buddies
i didnt really have a pre-op, my clinic said there was no need if you had a clear medical history..
last time i was there for the second appointment with my surgeon my pcc just took my blood pressure, and the info about certain meds or foods was in a pack they sent me in the post x

Re: June Buddies
Yey, finally have a ticker! Seems a bit late now though at 3days to go!
I didnt have a pre-op either, just a phone call to check no allergies, next of kin and blood pressure, which I just got over the phone from my GP. Didnt have to come off my pill either. Just emailed my PCC with my final last minute silly questions! Been tidying the house, giving hubby instructions and demands, getting everything ready. Really want to pack, but I think its still a little early! We're heading to Bromsgrove on Saturday night for Dolan Park (THG) on Sunday (saved some cash by using own transport). So excited!

Yep, I think so! As soon as Im back in my right mind I promise I'll put the whole story up online!
Paying makes it all a little bit real! Such a quick phone call for such a huge amount/decision!
