Hey Blue, I've chosen not to share with my family at all so am prob not the best person to help! If I were to though, I would start by saying you would like his support, how much it would mean to you if he could respect your choice to do this. Explain how you've throughly researched and its something important to you. Its hard for parents to let go, they will probably always feel they know best/want to look out for you, but let them know its a considered decision, you're an adult and you know what you're doing! Good luck with your email hun, take deep breaths!! :-) xx
Oh and yay 1 month to go!!!

Re: June Buddies
sorry to hear your mum is unsupportive, my mum is too as is my dad. I told them I wanted it done for me and that it was nobody else's choice. They know I won't change my mind but it's something I want to do and will do.
You may have to accept that they just won't have the same mindset as u but at least you're given them an opportunity to understand? make sure u tell them how much it means to you hun

Sorry to hear your parents aren't supportive Vix, parents eh? If its what you want, and it's an improvement to your body, you'd think they would just support you wouldn't you? Parents, pah!!!! Am sure they'll understand once they see however happier you are once it's all done. :-) xxx

Re: June Buddies
Hey girls, I'm the same as blue been working my butt off with exams but one more week to go and i will be finished for summer. Woohoo!! :)
With regards to telling parents i was TERRIFIED about telling my dad. When my sister had told him she was getting it done he was horrified so i knew it wasn't going to be easy. My dad is all very traditional and comes off with things like "there are other people out there with serious health conditions" etc etc.... but surprisingly when i told him i was going for it and there was nothing he could do to change my mind he accepted it. just remember we aren't asking for permission, you are telling them out of respect!! Luckily i had my mums support.. and although sometimes she did question my decision i know it was for the right reasons.. its a huge thing to sign up for so they will naturally worry.
With telling your dad just say it straight with him, tell him how you feel and tell him he can;t change your mind but you would like his support. xxx

I think parents naturally wanna protect and I suppose they are only worried about risks etc. It means so much to us so hopefully they'll come round! xx

Re: June Buddies
Sorry to eat about the ones that aren't so supportive to you girls
I never worried of mine supported me or not. Raise in my mind it was happening and I was happy with it and that was that, my mum hadn't considered surgery till I did then within mths she had her own and bigger so was better in one sence but funny cos he wanted to be one better than me still even though she already had boobs! Crazy how family reacts but do long a you are 100% then they will have to deal with it there own way it's not your problem! Xxx

Re: June Buddies
Hey Halo hun, 2 weeks, so exciting!! It's so weird as we've all been chatting about it, and pretty much all consumed by it (!) and now its almost here, i've even made my overnight packing list! Oh be careful with the slim fast shakes hun, on the Pre-admission posts here on the forum, it mentions no dietary supplements from 2 weeks before, as this may affect your recovery, just thought I'd highlight it, hope you don't mind?! just want you to be ok! :-) xxx

Re: June Buddies
Hi Ladies
Thought I'd join in with the June buddies, as I'm booked for the 2nd! Does that make me first?! Cant quite work out if Im more nervous or excited. Surgeon suggested going for a 340-375cc to take me up to a b/c, but after making rice boobs i think its def going to be a C cup, and they look huge! I think I have everything in place for the big day, sports bras, button down shirts, V pillow. I also got the Tamanu balm from THG to help with the scarring, has anyone ever used this? Good, bad, or wasted money?!

Hey charlii, congrats on booking! I think you will be the first June girl- how exciting! Sounds like you are very organised & have all the bits and bops ready to go! The build up is such a roller coaster, I'm trying as much as possible to enjoy it but know once it hits June I'm going to start getting really nervous, this site has been a god send though! X

My oh is the same vix- the v pillow has caused an issue as its so comfortable we are having to fight over it at night! Will be buying him his own one soon!
I'm trying not to think about the operation side too much as it makes me feel a bit funny! My friend got a piercing yesterday and I went with for support- anyone would have thought it was me having it done i felt so nervous and sick over the thought of it. I'm hoping my ba will toughen me up a bit as I'm so rubbish with pain/needles! X

ha, who'd hav thought it would be so comfortable!
I hope you don't feel too worried bout the needles, just think about your end result and what you'll have when you wake up from it:) having never had an operation before I'm scared of the unknown how it'll feel when I go under etc. gotta try to keep focused!! xx
