Re: June Buddies
Hey hangle, try and think of it as a necessary evil to get to your new boobs! :-) I hate needles too, I always have to look away and start humming a tune to myself and tapping my feet, to stop me thinking about it! But it's usually quick and just a little sting, it will be worth it for the new amazing boobs!
The wait is doing my head in too! I'm entirely impatient for the surgery to be here now and I know once it's happened I'll then be impatient for the scars to heal!!! I think I'm most worried about the scarring, not the surgery itself so I'm pretty much just willing the rest of this year away!! Patience is most defo a virtue I don't have!! Xxx

Re: June Buddies
nor me! I have none at all!
Ican't stop looking at lovely pretty bras online and have to hold myself back!!
hangle I know exactly whatyou mean about the padding free bra feeling, it's gonna be so good-and you have to try and focus on how you will feel after your op, like eddy said it's a necessary evil!! I have never had surgery before so it's difficult to know what to expect xx

Re: June Buddies
I've been promised "magic cream" so at least I know there won't really be pain with the cannula being put in, it's just a mind over matter thing I guess. My mum always jokes that I've never lost more than a teaspoon of blood- I broke my arm when I was younger & had pneumonia few years ago which was in hospital for but apart from that I've been lucky, not got a very good pain threshold!
Bra shopping has never been a good experience for me so I reckon when the day comes it might be emotional lol. My sister is just over a month post op and tried on a bikini top over the weekend, she looked great and it got me even more excited. Can't help but wish it was June already! Has everyone started to get any other bits and bobs ready? I've ordered my v pillow :) x

Re: June Buddies
Magic cream sounds great! That should do the trick! If only they did magic cream for healing too! :-) I've only ever gone under GA for dental work so not quite sure what to expect either but hopefully we'll all come out of the surgery with a big smile (and great boobs!!).
Am trying to think practically what else I might need post surgery and I think a extendable grabber might be helpful, you know one of those long metal arm things that can reach and grab things? As we won't be able to reach up for a while, thought that might help? Also a variety of button up tops!! Any other ideas girls?!! Xxx

Re: June Buddies
I got my V pillow today. Couldn't help but take it to bed tonight :p love it already. Ps hangle, I'm in the same position, i am petrified of needles and like you have been very lucky medical wise.. My sister had a proper phobia of needles - refused the 6 needles in high school etc lol and mentioning blood makes her go completely white!! She went through her BA.. She was nervous but says it is completely fine and would do it again tomorrow! Hopefully that gives u a bit of confidence... Its what is keeping me sane lol xx

Re: June Buddies
i read that lots of girls have moisturised their boobs pre op to make the skin as supple as possible to prepare it for stretching and avoiding stretch marks!
i'm not having massive implants but still i thought it can only help if i try :) x

Re: June Buddies
I was told to start getting the cocoa butter on to help withstretching, I suppose there's no harm in doing it. and blue, I'm sure you could have the magic cream, it means you shouldn't feel the needle at all. xx

Re: June Buddies
Vix did you buy it in the band above what you are now? I'll be buying that one this weekend- I'm an 32 now and confussed if I should get it in 32d or 34d because of swelling ?! X

Re: June Buddies
i'd go with bigger band size, i usually wear a 34 and bought a 36. after a few days with the swelling i ended up having to get a 38! all swelling has gone down and back into a 34 now xx

I went for the same back size and hoping extenders will help with swelling although now I'm contemplating going for a bigger back just in case xx

Re: June Buddies
Isn't it blue? LoL its so exciting when we have the after surgery bras in front of us makes it all realer! I would deffo by the band up from what you are and the 2 cup sizes the C and the D would be best g2 I got an E and an F for the swelling I reckon I should be an E by the time it's all settled (hoping no bigger!) xx

Re: June Buddies
well you should go with how you feel. If it's available and you feel it will help you should do it. They wouldn't offer it if it would be bad for u hun but I know what u mean about not wanting too many drugs. you should definitely discuss with your surgeon and see what he recommends. you should do what you feel happiest with xx
