My surgeon told me to buy a cheap sports bra until swelling goes down and then nurse told me my surgeon recommends 'light' support so ive done what i was told and have bought a tesco medium support sports bra but I seriously don't feel like I'm getting enough support from it. Today my boobs are aching sooooo bad i really want to go M&S tomorrow and find a high impact one or should i not as it would be going against the advice i was given? I was thinking if anything I could wear the high impact one during the day when out and about then medium in the evening when I'm chilling and to bed?

Hi Newboobz are you seeing your surgeon soon so you could check? I am finding the whole sports bar thing really stressful. Currently in my Macom but need to get something smaller now the swelling has gone. Tried the bras on I bought before the op and they just don't fit well. The band at frobt isnt flat? My local M&S is small and had nothing so am thinking of going to my local debenhams for a shockabsorber. Seeing my surgeon later so will wait and see what he says first.

new boobies - i'm recovering pretty good but the sports bra fiasco is making me worry too much Sports bra question again! Sorry! 869500 hope you find a decent sports bra, i've noticed the m&s sizes seem to measure bigger than everywhere else i'm a 34 band but i had a look at their size guide and for them i'm a 36 band xx

I wouldn't go against your surgeons recommendations hun. You may want to try a smaller band size as most support comes from this. If its too big youll be getting little to no support.

If you go against your surgeons advise babe you do risk the possibility of your aftercare becoming void.

Have you tried laying some icepacks across the tops of your boobs hun? Its most likely the swelling that's causing the most discomfort babe so the ice packs will give you great relief from the discomfort this causes.

Hope it eases up soon and if not you can discuss your concerns with your clinic nurse on Tuesday. I'd very much advise you don't listen to other clinic nurses via email babe. They haven't assessed 'you' nor do they have any surgery information from your surgeon for guidance hun. Follow the advise from your surgeon/nurse only and don't be afraid to call and request to speak with your nurse ANYTIME.

If you had a problem with a product you paid for you wouldn't hesitate in calling time and time again until the problem was sorted would you hun... Your boobs are no different, you bought a product and if you need advise you're free to use the aftercare you paid for hun. You're not a 'crazy worrier' you're a woman having had a breast augmentation using the aftercare you paid for because if a concern babe, so do use the aftercare if you feel you need to. Xx
