a big thank you and a question about sports bra
Hey ladies, I've just been having a sneaky peek at another breast implant forum.
Oh boy!!! Not nice!!!! All I can say is - thank goodness for this forum! I'm due for my op on the 3rd and the ladies on this forum have given me nothing but kind, helpful and constructive advice and for that I am sooooooo grateful so thank you . I've got a Z Bra and have got a shock absorber level 4 for when I have to launder my Z Bra. This should be ok to see me thorough the first week shouldn't it?What do you think?? many thanks Jaybles xxxooxxx

Re: a big thank you and a question about sports bra
Hiya
Yes I agree this is defo the best forum!!
I don't know what the other girls think but...
I have a shock absorber level 4 now for when i go running. I wouldn't have wanted to wear one in my first few weeks after a BA though... I wouldn't have found it comfy enough.
Maybe others will disagree.. we all have our faves.
I wore an Asda one for first few weeks (I had to wear a surgical bra for week 1). They are not supportive enough once your boobs start to soften and drop but they are mega mega comfy at first.
xx

jaybles, i too went on a forum but it was before i found this one and i found the women on there not the most pleasant to say the least..
as for bras whats this Z bra?
ive bought 3 asda bras in diff sizes and a bhs bra in a 32D as it was the only place i could find one, i tried it on to see if the back was ok and its really tight!! and im only a 30A surgeon said.. typical so i will have to use it when my swelling goes down.
where can i find a 32D anyone?
Are you excited jaybles? not long now hun!!

Re: a big thank you and a question about sports bra
cool, thanks you ladies!!! xo
izzie37 the z bra is a post op bra. My surgeon recomends them, they are supposed to be good but are about £35. I too have struggled with getting a sports bra in my size from Asda. I went on line and Marks and Spencer do and 32 D. Can't wait. I am really positive about the op, hows you feeling issie37?? xx

Re: a big thank you and a question about sports bra
Yay for Breast Buddies! Best boobie site on the web!!
You'll probably find you'll stay in the same bra for the first week, I know that probably sounds really yucky right now, but believe me week 1 you'll just be happy to sleep, eat and bum shuffle! LOL best to have two different styles at the ready though and possibly different sizes too so you can choose the one that's the most comfy. xxx

BJSF is the best forum, it's an absolute godsend that's all I can say!
I wore the Shock Absorber level 4 bras for at least the first 2 weeks PO, I found these bras held my very firmly and they didn't move at all tbh, I still wear these to the gym and they are very comfortable and just give you that fantastic support that's needed.
I think everyone has their fave's, for me it's these ones and the M&S front fastening bra (OMG sooooooooo comfy!) I wear mine to bed most nights!

Re: a big thank you and a question about sports bra
I'm really curious to go and check out other websites now!! I'm so glad my husband found this one for me now (not as pervy as it sounds, he knew I was starting to get stressed about my op!).
I've got the Z-bras as well as that's what was recommended to me by my surgeon and they are really comfy. The straps are really wide though which is not good for this summer weather we're having but I guess that is the same for all sports bras. They seem really expensive when you're used to paying a few quid for bras from Primark though!! I've also started handwashing my bras which I never used to bother with when I had the cheapo ones!!!

Re: a big thank you and a question about sports bra
But whilst the staps are wide and the back soo high, the front is really scooped so you can wear v-neck vests / t-shirts and not see it.
I have also found the Royce Post surgery bra lovely and comfy but not as snuggly supportive as the z-bra.
I just wish they did a 32FF z bra and I'd be laughing!!

Re: a big thank you and a question about sports bra
Cool!! just got a shock absorber through as a make shift one whilst my z bra is being washed. The shock absorber was £10 off ebay and a pretty pink/purple colour. I've never spent so much money on underwear before. With the size that I am pre op, I have just 3 bras!!! Truth of the matter is that I just don't really know what size I will end up with and there are so many changes in the first 6 weeks, I will just have to wait and see! xoxoxooxoxo
