Re: May Buddies
Hi guys hope everyone is recovering well!
Any ideas where I could get some kind of padded sports/support bra, since my op my nipples have been highly sensitive, and it's becoming very embarrassing now, even when indoors! :-(

Re: May Buddies
Ah thank god it's not just me! My poor dad nearly fell over when I called to see him earlier! They definitely have a mind of their own!
I'm not sure if its a problem I've always had, as I've only ever worn padded bra's up to know!
Back to work Tuesday and I'm a nurse, don't want to traumatise my patients! I hunted around m&s and bhs earlier with no luck! X

Lol, your poor dad, haha. I've taken to wearing a cardi or shirt at the moment and one is more sensitive then the other!
I suppose it depends in your uniform what will show through? I know my scrubs would be dangerous but my standard tunic would probably be ok. You could always put cotton pads or breastfeeding pads in your bra? xx

Good idea rayray I think the cotton pads is the route to go down!
Yes I've had a cardigan on since to cover up, such a shame in the lovely weather!
My lefty is definitely the most troublesome x

I'm done!!! Feel ok but had to have a catheter fitted as I couldn't wee! Nice! I can't believe it is all over but so relieved. My skin is a little itchy but pain is under control with pain killers and no sickness thank goodness! Just need to heal. So glad to be home didn't sleep at all last night but getting by on adrenalin and excitement!

Re: May Buddies
So glad to be home nothing more lovely than your own surroundings - catheter was horrible and something I hadn't anticipated but was well looked after. Feeling a bit sore but it was exactly as you described - I am hoping every day I will feel better! Would have been lost without this site so reassuring to know your not alone - how is your healing going when did you start to feel
Better ie no painkillers xx

Re: May Buddies
I know I've personally had a catheter during childbirth and it was very painful. I started dropping out my pain relief by about day 4 I took paracetamol regularly and ibuprofen as needed. I was completely pain relief free from about day 8. I would advice you to take all that they have given you for the next 3-4 days and just listen to your body. I've got to say I feel completely fine now and it's annoying as I can't go on long walks or ride my bike! But hay small sacrifice ;) xx

Re: May Buddies
It is 1.23 am and I am in agony! On co-codomal every four hours and I am due the next dose at 2.30 am but honestly this hurts!! I know you are probably all fast asleep lucky you but when you read this can anybody offer any advice - do you think I can add in paracetamol in between my doses ... The pain hadn't been too bad but boy it seems to have kicked in now! Not sure if the bra is too tight because I seem in pain in general and also seems tight around the incisions. Keep thinking if being pain free and wearing nice tops to keep me going but it's difficult ... Help anybody thanks xxx
