What causes the constipation? Is it the painkillers? If it is, I'm thinking I might try to not take any if I can get away with it.

Loclo - I took both yes.

Bear in mind that 1 duclolax worked after about 7 hours. That's half dose. I didn't get diarrhoea, just normal. I was also on the gentle laxative the hosp sent me home with - lactulose. I also had a big fruit salad that day too to help or along. That was day 4-5 for me.

I have been daily since then & didn't take any laxatives after that day.

I still have the belly. No gurgling, but discomfort after evening meal. I suppose its up & down - literally! Hoping it will just stay down though:)
