Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
Hi girls!
On Wednesday I had consultation number 3. It was with Mrs Kat in Birmingham who is...AMAZING!!! She was so attentive and lovely and I instantly felt like she was the surgeon I'm going to go with. My only concern is that her recommendations were quite different to those of the other two surgeons I have seen. While they both recommended around 340cc for me, Mrs Kat recommended 465cc (teardrop implants). I am tall (5'10) with broad hips and a small waist and Mrs Kat said that the other surgeon's recommendations would be too small and wouldn't sufficiently balance out my hips. This makes sense and she did take MANY measurements before she reached this conclusion. I am just concerned that because there is SUCH a difference between that and what the other surgeons recommended, the 465ccs would look massive and obvious (I'm telling only one person about my BA and I don't want people to notice). I am hoping for a very natural look: full but not too big. I'm not sure if 465cc would be too big, though with my height and broad shoulders, it may be perfect. Mrs Kat did allow me to try on smaller sizes but was reluctant to recommend them.
In addition, Mrs Kat now uses only the Polyurethane implants (furry Brazilians). She assured me these are the safest kind and really reduce the risk of CC. They will also be good for me because they stick more to the breast tissue and stay a little higher up, and my breasts are quite low on my chest wall. However, I have heard so many horror stories about them that I am quite scared and reluctant! I would love to hear from anyone who has had them.
Thanks guys xxx

Hm that is quite a difference and 465 is a big implant. What cup size are you now? And what dress size? Maybe go for something in between the 340 and 465? x

I agree 465 is a pretty big implant and if it's natural look you're going for you need to be a little firmer with size hun. It's easier to go bigger next time IF you think they're too small but harder to downsize if you find them too big and it is a pretty big implant x

Maybe having another consultation would put your mind at ease lovely, if the third is in agreement with the smaller implants then 3 out if 4 surgeons surely can't be wrong, if they go with the larger and you prefer the surgeon you just seen then you know you found 'the one'
Having recently seen one of this surgeons ops, this comment is something you might want to question lovely.
If the implants are stuck higher up and your breasts are quite low on your chest, what is the chance of excess skin hanging over the implant.
I've seen this already from her work using these implants with the skin hanging over the implant needing revision and your comment just concerned me babe so it may be worth asking about this if you do go back for a second consultation. Xx

Im pretty sure anatomicals come out smaller. Your welcome to view my pics i have 375 and 440. They are nowhere near the size of some girls with rounds and a similar size & i have serious boob greed. Im like you tall 5ft8 and very curvy at the hips!

Sorry jus re-read, im thinking people would notice if you went that big. Iv had lots of "boobs look big today" and my cousin asked me outright. I have told only a very few people and its not common knowledge at all xox

Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
Some surgeons are good at building rapport hun, I saw the hospital groups premier surgeon and I was convinced I would go with them and him based upon how I felt about my consultation with him but... He told me there was nothing I could do to correct asymmetry, didn't realise I had a protruding ribcage on one side, said he could never give me teardrop implants because they wouldn't look right and said I couldn't have 340 implants they'd almost definitely not fit - he couldn't of been more wrong with his consultation, take no notice of the rapport you build with a surgeon its a sales skill not an indication of knowledge x

Hey girls,
Thank you for your input. I guess I have a lot to think about...each surgeon I have seen has specific things they are offering that appeal to me, but also downsides too. Cazzy, I would love to see your pics. Cookie, I have also seen the work of this surgeon where the skin at the bottom had to be removed but I think this was the result of the patient having an uplift in addition to a BA. I wish the surgeon was closer so I could discuss my concerns about these implants with her. They aren't used very frequently so all the information out there seems to be negative which scares me a great deal. I do agree about the size of the implant though. I tried on a 410cc too but for some reason it looked too small?! Even though previously I had tried on a 360cc and thought this was the perfect size, I'm confused!!! xxx

Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
I have 460 round full projection partial unders, I'm 5ft 9 size 12.
I was an empty cup before and used to wear gel bras and chicken fillets.
No one has noticed I have even had mine done, which was exactly what I wanted :)
Your welcome to take a look at my pics babe, I don't think they look big :)
However I'm having a re-op on the 23 rd coz mine are too high and coz of it I feel my nipples are slightly too low.
I can honestly say thy dont look big at all they just balance out my enormous hips ;) xxx

Oh Kxx!! Your post almost made me cry tears of joy! Thank you hun xx
I would love to take a peek at your pics. I am off to work shortly but will look tonight when I get back. I have HUGE hips. I am a size 12 on top and 14 on bottom. I never wear trousers (have never actually owned a pair!) because my hips protrude so violently!!! So I suppose Mrs Kat noticed this and recommended the larger size to give me an hourglass shape. I also don't want anyone to notice i've had mine done, which is my main concern. Off to get ready for work (and stuff my bra with anything I can find!) xxx

Yes, same thing.
I used the case as an analogy because the lift was done 'after' the implant was inserted so the measurements weren't consistent with the lift, hence the excess skin.
So what I'm saying is I'd be asking how many re-ops the surgeon has done to correct possible mistakes in dimensions given that these implants do have to be so carefully inserted lovely. Xx
Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
I completely agree with the comment of the implant sortin higher babe xx
Mine was abit like this, not so much now coz they've dropped abit bt I am having a re-op to pull them both down so be warey of this xxxx

Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
Yes good point. The surgeon is 3 hours away from me so I'm going to try and send an email with some questions or arrange a telephone conversation. I did a lot of research online and she is very highly recommended, I didn't read a bad comment (and people are very quick to complain if they're not happy). I would like to know why these implants aren't widely used: there must be a reason. However, if I am going with anatomicals, they would probably be best as they don't rotate as much as normal silicone implants. Hmmm..xx

Thank you Kerry. Do you have any pictures? I would love to have a look. 510ccs were also recommended but I feel these would be far too big. I am scared that the people who know me well, like my mum and best friends, and who have known me with small boobs all my life will be like 'geez, where did those come from?!' xx

They probably will if you go too big, but if you go natural the majority if people don't even notice x

I have pics on my phone but I don't know how to do it on here. And also don't know how to receive private messages I'm abit of a breastbuddy loser Haha. I think the size I have is great. I would even go bigger but that is just greed realistically for me I feel there in proportion with my body. Are u not telling ur mum or friends? If u don't want ppl to notice then maybe go abit smaller but like I said mine don't look in ur face atal I feel. Xx

i think that they could possibly look natural to people who have just met you and they wouldn't assume you'd had a BA, but i think people who already know you may notice a difference. Just my opinion but it's a pretty big implant imo x

Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
Hi girls,
Yes, I do think that 465cc is too big for me, I may opt for the 410ccs if I decide to go with that surgeon. I did show her pictures of the look I wanted and she took measurements, coming to the conclusion that the 465ccs would provide the look I was after, but I feel it would be too much of a leap from what I currently am. Thanks guys xxx

Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
Hi goldilockz,
I'm similar stats to you; I'm 5ft 9, size 10 with broad shoulders, hips and a bum that need balancing out.
I have been advised to get 460cc by 3 surgeons and agree with them all that this is a good size for my stats.
Dr Kazzazi at MYA recommended moderate profile implants because the base is wider than high profiles (which have a smaller base but more projection) and will cover the chest area sufficiently and ultimately better suited to my frame.
I tried the tester implant on under my clothes and felt that it balanced out perfectly. I find, like you, that 460 is big, and that when I look straight at a pair of 460s they look verrry big but looking at the whole body with the implants in I can see that they are the right size. I think is more a case of your perception although you should go wth what you feel is comfortable. i'm keeping in mind that once I get used to them being there, i don't want to wish i had gone bigger, which from reading on various forums, I think a lot women do...

Re: Will 465cc be too big?! (And other questions)
Hi Ktwin!
Thanks for your reply hun, and good to speak to someone with similar stats. Do you know when you'll be having surgery? I am also a 'generous B cup' at the moment. I have had three consultations: at the first, I tried on various sizes and settled for a 300cc implant, at the second, I decided the 360cc looked great, and at the third, I chose the 465cc implant! At the time, the 465cc looked amazing, really gave the look I wanted, but in retrospect, I am concerned about the fact that the size is gradually increasing with each consultation, even though I initially went in wanting a very modest increase, taking me to maybe a D cup. I agree with you entirely though: looking at the 460 implant on its own does seem very large. However, on my frame (massive hips, slim waist, broad shoulders and almost 6ft tall), they look proportional. However, I have always been a pear shape so I'm scared that anyone who knows me well will notice my sudden Jessica Rabbit-shaped curves! Currently deciding on the 410 vs the 465, which seems a little more modest but not a massive difference.
Xxx
