Hi- just a few questions
Hiya
I'm new here but am planning my op for next year.
I am looking into surgery with Garrick Georgeu (Harley Street Plastic Surgery) and i'm just wondering if anyone else has gone with him?
I know from some girls on [link removed] he likes to use "conical" implants, which I gather are quite rare- just wondering if anyone has had these?
I'm in Hampshire & looking to go with a surgeon no further than London really with good qualifications- any reccomendations?
sorry to ask so many questions but some advice would be great! Thanks, L xx

By Harley street, do you mean Harley medical?

Re: Hi- just a few questions
no princess, it's called "Harley Street Plastic Surgery". I don't think he is as popular as say the transform surgeons but all the reviews i've read so far have been good. It just seems too good to be true really & the conical implant makes me a bit nervous as i'd have thought that would give you pointy boobs!?

Re: Hi- just a few questions
The surgeon is becoming quite popular lately. If you type his name into the search bar you should find some threads about him hun.
As for anatomicals being rare... They aren't rare at all lovely, although they aren't used as much as round implants are which are much more common.
'Generally' anatomicals are used for women with very little breast tissue or body fat so having an anatomical implants helps those with those problems avoid any problems with the implants being visible.
On the whole though a round implant if it can be used is the preferred choice due to the risk anatomicals have of rotating. Xxx

Hi cookie
thanks, didn't know I could do that, i'll have a search. as far as I know the conical implants are different from anatomical and are almost slightly triangular in shape as opposed to teardrop.
I could be wrong though, but that's the impression I got.
I guess I need to just bite the bullet & have a consutation with him- I just don't want to have one & then have to wait over a year anyway haha- i'm too impatient! x

Re: Hi- just a few questions
Well you learn something new every day don't you! Thank you for highlighting that for me cupcake, you're right, there is a difference and I can see what you mean about your concerns about them maybe being 'pointy' although for some women with the right body type for them and you may well be one of them, they could be the perfect choice!
I think if a surgeon had a preference for 'one' choice of implant shape lovely it would be VERY wise for you to see other surgeons for their opinions also before making any decisions. I'm sure Mr Georgeu will give you his reasoning for choosing soley this shape of implant, but just bare in mind lovely... What's right for one woman isn't right for all which is why surgeons have previously had the choice of rounds or anatomical before and used the ones which best fitted that body type. Xx

Re: Hi- just a few questions
Just done a bit more research on these conical implants for you cupcake and it seems they are best suited for women with 'sagging breasts' so for women who have maybe lost lots of weight and their breasts are now sagging from the weight loss or for women who have sagging caused by breast feeding. These implants apparently help to lift the breast a little more, to take up the slack for want of a better word lol.
But if you have a small frame these implants DEFINITELY risk giving your breasts having a pointed appearance! Think Madonna in her John-Paul Gaultier corset!!! xx

Re: Hi- just a few questions
Hi cupcake! I've got no knowledge of these conical implants. I had my surgery in London and I couldn't be happier with my surgeon and results (apart from the odd moment of boob greed!)
Hope your journey goes well Hun!

Hi Cupcake,
Same as Mandy, I went with MyBreast, though different surgeon, and have been really happy with the results and aftercare so far.
Definitely see at least a couple of surgeons to decide what you want.
Good luck!

Re: Hi- just a few questions
Okay thanks ladies.
Just wondering as well how much you all paid if you don't mind me asking? I know some people barter and my main focus is an awesome surgeon but I guess a bargain would be a bonus lol!
Thanks for all your help so far x

Re: Hi- just a few questions
Well I'd never even heard of conicals! Look mega pointy !
I went with cosmetic surgery partners, nick Percival on wellbeck which is next road along from Harley street.
He's a bapras registered surgeon.
Id have a few consultations with different surgeons as you will get a feel for the one. X

I'd personally forget 'bargains' lovely. You can't put a price on your body and that is what you're actually doing sweetie in looking for a 'Bargain Boobjob' Focus on getting the best surgeon you can for yourself. They're the ones who are going to be changing your body shape and if you're wanting the 'best' for your body then money comes last. Find your surgeon, if he's within your budget, great! If he's a little more money than you expected, then maybe save for a little while longer till you get the best! X

Re: Hi- just a few questions
Mybreast don't bargain, so I paid what I was told! They do however take off the charge for consultations if you book with them, and the consultation is £25 for 3 (with same surgeon) I think.
Personally I would not be that trustful of any company who do knock down prices, it would seem too unreliable for me. That said, there are many respected companies who do that, and many girls on here who did, and have been very happy with their results.

Re: Hi- just a few questions
I saw something about this a while back (on tv I think), where women were getting these conical implants. The women who were getting them were fans of the fifties era and I got the impression that these implants were quite niche and for women who require a particular look/style. x
