Re-Op Questions
Hi girls, I had 410cc HP unders on 27 January and need a re op (which I'm having on 5 May). Could anyone who had a re op let me know:
(1) If its as painful 2nd time around (only having op to one boob); and
(2) Did the use a new implant or re-use the old one?
Thanks a mill girls. My left boob is wonky, as if the implant is separate from my natural boob and the natural boob is hanging over. Have pics if anyone wants to see them.
Thanks a mill.

Re: Re-Op Questions
Hi cant really help as such, only that i read somewhere that implants are ''suppose'' to be single use (that might have been on my implant leaflet i got), however also read that the same ones have been used before. So its all rather confusing. Id like to think the surgeons would put a brand new sterile one in, im also sure its not great to stress the implant ie. (when ramming it in, pulling it out n stuffing it back in again surely that cannot be good for it) xx

Re: Re-Op Questions
Welcome to the site hun, sorry to hear you need a reop, i know some surgeons will use a new implant whereas others will steralise the same one and put it back in, can i see your pics? x
Hi
Hi girls, yes I'd like to think a new implant would be used, gonna check. It would be better for infection purposes.
Nads - can I pm you my password, is there a function on here, this is my first thread.
Thanks.

Re: Re-Op Questions
Hi Sam
Sorry to hear you need a re-op, and also sorry to say that I can't help you ... but If they do re-use the implant, at leas you know that it has safely been inside you since January, and so must be sterile, else you would have had a bad reaction.

Re: Re-Op Questions
Tks hon. Would prefer (for sterile purposes) if she used a new implant, it could pick up anything coming out and being shoved back again, if ya know what I mean :)

Re: Re-Op Questions
I sent pics 4 weeks ago and she said to send updated pics this week. I sent them yesterday and was told I could have 5 May as the date for my re op. She has been brilliant.

Re: Re-Op Questions
Hell!! And welcome, soo sorry to hear about you needing to have a reop, it seems as if you are dealing with all of this very well, also that you are having the care and attention needed to fix. I would also be pleased to fix a.s.a.p. and preference would be to have a new implant. However, I have heard that some surgeons do reuse, perhaps you could e.nail and have his clarified, so as you know what to expect and are at ease in the meantime. I do hope all works out for you, I would be happy to look at pics if you require an opinion, thinking of you, take care

Re: Re-Op Questions
Hi hun, and sorry about the re-op... not too long to go though now!! I would also prefer if they put a new implant, check your aftercare policy, normally if you need a re-op they should be obliged to give you a new implant, although if you don't put you foot down they might just try to save money!
I heard that the second time around it's less painful - good luck xxx

Re: Re-Op Questions
Hi Happywomble!!
Thank you for sharing your pics.!!! I have just had a look, I can see what your concern is, and I am glad that it is being dealt with promptly, hopefully with a new implant. I have not seen this personally before. Have they told you what it is, the cause?
It is good that your P.S. is doing the reop to sort this for you. However, if it were me I would feel happier knowing what her thoughts and procedures are before you return, just to get things clear and understand everything in the meantime. I wish you well

Re: Re-Op Questions
Tks girls, I'm waiting on the PS to get back to me but I just booked my flights. Fly over on Monday night 4 May and return Thursday night 7 May. She wouldn't let me fly home any earlier than Thursday night. Just want it over and done with now so I can enjoy my boobs in the Summer ha ha. Thanks for the replies and advice.

Re: Re-Op Questions
Hey happywomble great to see you on here. I am so sorrry you are having probs hunni. After bugging you all on LYB for the last couple of years i finally had mine done last week and cannot imagine how you are feeling having to have a reop. Even tho i cannot help with your questions mate, I wish you well and hope that all goes well. I do remember Sian saying that the latter ops get less painful hun, so I am sure it will be managable. Big hugs and kisses from me.
