The partials/ overs natural debate
We seem to get quite a few women who when first arriving here are under the illusion that partials give the most natural look
After looking at all the avatars on here, could any of you honestly say you could tell the difference and who had under and who had overs?

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
I think overs look more natural sooner post op. But in the grand scheme of things if you compared naked boobs once settled & healed you'd never guess!

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
cant tell! lol..
ive read in any places that overs are the most natural looking as they move and manipulate as normal boobs (eg when lying down they slide to the sides) but with partials, they just stick to your chest and dont have as much movement as overs.

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
after tlaking to friends who have had overs and some of them unders i found overs move more naturally and my friend wished shed had overs because she feels her unders look abit 'stuck' as she said. but she said she didnt have enough natural breast tissue so didnt have a choice she had to have unders! Im hoping i can have overs but will see what the surgeons say this week at my consultations ! xx

I agree it's very hard to tell the difference when settled & looking at some people's pictures on here and people i know i certainly dont think unders look stuck on (obv they do at first) but totally depends on each individual person how they will look wether their overs or partials x x z

Cant tell the difference at all and I've been here a long time. Even early post op, no matter what stage of healing I couldn't tell you.
Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
It's weird because on that American website that shows u before and afters for all sizes, I got 100% of them right which is why I decided to go for unders, but I think we have a much better standard of surgery here because it is hard to tell on our boobs on the forum! X

I'm the same... There's no way, unders or overs, no matter the stage in recovery that I could tell which placement women had.
Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
I couldnt difference them either! hopefully my unders will settle nicely soon, cant wait for tomorrow to see them properly when they remove my bandages!
Hi Willows! could you let me know what implant size the surgeons advice you to have, Im only curious as i was also a 34A/B wanting a 34DD and now even if it's very early stage they dont look that big...

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
Still new to this as I have only had 1 consultation and the surgeon said he would go under the muscle as the result would be better for me. Is that the same as partials?

Yes, and dual plane. Only the upper part the implant is covered by muscle. X but still referred to as unders x

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
Just to add... Unders, as fully under the muscle are very rarely used when having a standard BA. Everyone uses the term 'unders' for 'partials, I'm not sure why but it just seems to have stuck. Fully under the muscle is only really ever used for reconstruction surgery e.g for someone having reconstruction surgery after having a mastectomy after breast cancer. X
Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
Is that the same case for maxoplexy plus implant (at same time)or do you think that will that be fully under the muscle?

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
A mastopexy doesn't require 'reconstruction' babe, that's completely different to a mastectomy were the breast is removed completely and requires full reconstruction to recreate the breast. A mastopexy is just changing the shape of the breast, so depending on how much breast tissue/body fat you have to start you'll either have partials or overs with a mastopexy and BA combined. Xx
Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
Thanks Cookie - I found a good website earlier that had scientific drawings of where the implants went but I am too new to post the link (I also tried to send you a message with it on there but that didn't work either). If you think it will help others understand it all a bit better can you let me know the best way to get the link on here xx

Re: The partials/ overs natural debate
No clue!! Once these have settled I can say whether I think they look more natural than my unders which always looked fake! I haven't seen any boobs on here I thought looked remotely fake!
