Re: March Buddies
Hi girls, I am sooooo happy. Had my 1 week check up today with my surgeon. Finally got to see my boobs and they are just perfect. I was so worried that they wouldn't be any bigger than my first ba but hooray they are! Will try and get some photos tomorrow and start my photo trail.
Also allowed to sleep flat now but no distance walking for 6 weeks. Was hoping to go with hubby on the dog walks but my surgeon was very strict about half a mile at the most and not for at least a week! Oh well it's worth it to make sure these boobies heal properly.
In terms of bras I am now only allowed my Macom, shockabsorbers, medical v bra or M&S bras. As my local M&S only has underwired or over the head sports bras I'm going to go to Debenhams tomorrow and get fitted in a shockabsorber.
Boo dreams- wow great Avi your boobs look fantastic. You must be pleased.

Hey boo!
U'll be fine in a few days hun, i found days 2/3 the worst just out of sorts and fe up thou have been really lick in that i haven't suffered 'pain' as such just manageable discomfort- I'm pretty much back to normal service now cleaning shopping cooking etc only thing I'm really careful of is stretching my arms to far and carrying heavy stuff, so for my little pay day shopping spree tomoz I shall be taking the OH along to carry my bags!! xxx

Re: March Buddies
Thx welschdoll - I am not happy with the pain, just woke & can barely move
I am due to go home today but not sure pain is managed yet so wondering what they'll do. Tbh I wouldn't like being at home in so much discomfort - it freaks me out. I've needed the nurses to tell me more than once that its to be expected & everything is ok!
The more of you that tell me they felt the same, the more I relax. I am happy as a clam when the edge is taken off, but really pretty paralysed when its not. I keep thinking 'a quick trip to Tescos will be poss in a few days'! But not sure that's going to be part of my story. And seriously, how long does this elephant sit here & interrupt my deep breathing?!?!

Hey ladies, hope you are all doing fab!!! Seen some amazing new avis. :) boo the pain will get better. I know right now you feel rubbish but try and sleep as much as you can.
Day 4 for me yesterday and I went and had my hair blow dried and for lunch with my mum. Weighed myself this morning and I have lost 5 and half pounds of the weight I gained immediately after surgery. 3 more pounds to go and I am back to my pre ba weight. Wooo!! :) my boobs are still pretty swollen and I am worried that they don't look great at the moment but trying to stay positive. Xxx

Re: March Buddies
Thx for your kind words- much appreciated.
No drains- my ps doesn't use them.
Upped my codeine - & paracetamol. Has some liquid morphine last night which relaxed me.
I am standing up now & feel a tinsey bit better (despite the sexy stockings!)
Am going home soon. Here's hoping the drive is kind to me!

Re: March Buddies
Hi Boo sorry to hear you are in pain. It does get better honest. Day 2 was worst for me as all the pain relief from the op had started to leave my system. Once home things got better and I could finally sleep. Make sure they give you good supply of meds in case you need them. Have a good trip home x

Re: March Buddies
Hope all the march buddies are recovering well. I'm 3days post op, felt good this morning so showered washed & dried my hair, tidied up a bit... Now paying the price. Definitely did too much too soon. Really sore!
Also the dreaded boob greed has set in big time. I was convinced it would never happen to me!
Does anyone know when the dreadful bloated tummy goes back to normal? I look 5 months pregnant!

Re: March Buddies
i'm 1 week post op today! thought i had escaped the booby blues but they seem to have set in today. made the mistake of weighing myself and i've put on half a stone!! granted 2lbs of that will be implant but still. I tried on the only tshirt i own that has a high enough neck to cover this bloody strap and i just feel really fat and frumpy in it. Belly is HUGE compared to my boobs which look tiny as they're all strapped down. Plus i STILL have very limited movements of my arms which means relying on OH and my mum which is making me feel pooey and useless hope i dont feel like this for long

Re: March Buddies
I am having issues with those very naughty malteser bunnies at the moment lol x my boobies arnt my friends today! I know a month on sat, I'm hoping they will start to look like normal boobs soon! Have you found out why you have to keep your dressing thingy on for so long? I had the same dressing/strap thingy as you but mine came off after a week. Oh did you find a bra to fit properly? X

Re: March Buddies
no idea why i have to keep it on so long but i will ask at my post op check on tuesday! Yes i managed to get a style from m&s in a 36d. It's not a perfect fit but i'm putting that down to the fact my boobs are very high and very far apart atm so aren't filling out the cup the way a normal breast would! i'm worried that it's not the right 'type' of sports bra tho as i was told 'light support' :/ but my swelling is going down so as soon as i'm back to a 34 band i'll start wearing the macom they gave me x

Re: March Buddies
Yeah mine are still very high, one higher than the other, I think mine have grown I started in a 34 D sports bra, then went into a 34 DD but it seems way to big in the band and quite tight in the cup, so figure I prob need to go down to a 32 band but that would put me up to an E cup? Oh so confused? I'm sure they can't still be swollen after 4 weeks? I'm just updating my pic trail, I will pm you login have a look and tell me what ya think? I'm in a m&s high impact one but I don't think it has a great level of support, I have a shock absorber that I love x I've never bothered about bras before, only about how much padding they have, so this is all a bit strange lol! My OH would throw a fit if he knew how much I've spent on bras so far lmao xx

Re: March Buddies
Hi girls, this sports bra shopping is a nightmare. Still wearing my Macom but can't keep washing and drying it with hair dryer! Took my matalan and Bhs ones back today and have bought a shockabsorber from Debenhams. It feels quite snug in the band but not sure if that is how it should feel as always wore them too loose before . Then wasn't sure how snug it should be on boobs either. Asked the assistant if she thought it fitted ok but she was useless! I've bought it anyway so it will have to do.
Taken some pics today so ready to start my picture trail. Will try and sort it later.
