Re: March Buddies
yes! about 5 minute walk from warren street tube station. me and OH are going down by train but i'm debating whether or not to train it back the next day or get him to drive us... he's never driven round central london before (& his driving scares me at the best of times!) + finding parking & congestion charge etc etc i'm starting to think it might be less stress to get the train... 5 min walk to tube, 5 min on the tube & then a 20 min train home? hmmmm x

Re: March Buddies
Oh no I wouldn't!! Ud just have had surgery, might be sore and to worry someone might bump into u....
Why don't u call around cab companies and get some quotes, if its that close I'm sure cab fare wouldn't be too much?
What time u being admitted? Can u make it there by train? X

Re: March Buddies
haven't had an admission time yet but i reckon it'll be early just cos i've got to have bloods taken & put through before i go down but will be okay, trains start running to london from like 4:30am. I might see if my mum can come pick me up but it depends on my dad cos i don't think she's told him (i hope she hasn't!) but she can't leave him at home on his own while she comes to get me cos he's not in the best of health atm and gets panicky if he's on his own too long :( x

Re: March Buddies
Oh dear, sounds like you've been thinking about it and decided that the train option is best for u... I could probably take the train to highgate but I haven't considered it an option. I've checked on my navigator and its only a 16 minute drive so I'm sure it shouldn't cost too much by mini cab, will call around on Monday for some quotes. Will get a friend to pick me up. How far are u from ur hospital? Xx

Re: March Buddies
the hospital is literally on the boundary for the congestion charge, there's a carpark 2 streets back which google maps reckons is a 7 minute walk... hope i'll be able to manage that cos i soooooooooo don't want to pay congestion charge as the car would only be quarter of a mile inside the boundary for about 10 minutes!!

Re: March Buddies
I'm sure you can, anyway if you're a day case ull be discharged after the congestion charge ends, and u much be able to go straight to hospital fur the admission and then ur OH could park it if u go before CC starts. 7 minutes is not so bad, hopefully the weather is nice and it would just be a stroll xx

Re: March Buddies
i'm going through a small company called aurora clinics but it's at a bmi hospital so i need to contact the hospital directly. just rang the main bmi hotline number cos the hospital reception was closed (?!) and they said the don't have any information about my admission on their records :(

Re: March Buddies
Oh yeah! I've heard of it. That's probably because the lease the premises and the admission etc is dealt with by aurora?
Don't worry, I'm sure it's all good, call the clinic and tell them that....
Do u have written confirmation of ur surgery details?? Xx
