Hey, does anyone know if you can have hair extensions in while having BA? x

You can't have any metal at all on you hun, so if the rings are metal you'd have to have them removed before surgery. Xx

Hi Alice
I would guess you would need them removed before surgery Hun , I have acrylic nails all the time and they made me get them removed before my BA!
I think they are very strict with things like that nowadays.

Definately no metal so like cookie says - they'll have to come out if the micro rings are metal :)

The aluminium is a big no-no lovely. It doesn't matter that its lined with silicone. Xx

Re: Micro Ring Hair Extensions and BA?
Just rearrange the appointment till after your BA. It'll give you something to look forward to then and all you have to say is the date you had has clashed with another appointment so you'd like to move it to a later date. Xx
Re: Micro Ring Hair Extensions and BA?
Do you have them at the moment maybe just tell them you want to give your hair a break from them or changed your mind but will book a later date :-) be nice to treat yourself after your op xx

Thanks girlies, I just told her my finances are poor. I thought its a good enough reason. She's probably thinking I should have looked at my money before lol. My hair will be longer in 2 months, might not even need to get them done, they are just above my nipples lol. xx

Re: Micro Ring Hair Extensions and BA?
I can understand why they would be strict about metal on your body - piercings etc, but strange that they would make a fuss about micro-ring extensions in your hair! I suppose it's a case of where do they draw the line? I wasn't even asked to remove my wedding ring - that was my choice - the nurse was all for putting a piece of tape over it. I gave it to hubby to hold on to. Best to go without anyway, incase they refuse surgery. xxx

The same reason as with the jewellery, in case of shock from an electrical current. I was allowed to keep my microdermals but just tape over them too Hun, but was told it was on my head if anything happened!x
