Re: November Buddies
No visitors are ever allowed into recovery, which is where you will be untill you wake up and are safe to be returned back to your room.
My mum & friend were allowed to stay with me all day untill I was discharged.
Was given dinner and tea from a very posh menu. Could have stayed in and gotten used to that lol!

Re: November Buddies
What actually happens in recovery Cazzy, I've got massive bruises on the insides of my upper arms, any idea how I got those? Xx
Re: November Buddies
I understand that they wouldn't be allowed in recovery, but the way she has worded it is 'he will not be allowed in recovery which is normally 4-6 hours, once you are out of recovery you will be allowed to go home'
This is odd right???

Ok so you will be here for 10am and go into theatre about 40minutes after…..the procedure is about an hour and you are in the recovery room for 4-6hours then aloud to go home once you have had something to eat and are ok.

Re: November Buddies
Recovery is where you go to come round and usually they will be doing obs on you every 5mins until your stable enough to go back to a room where they will either continue or discontinue your obs. I have bruises under my armpits and inner arms too cookie. I think its where they move you from bed - to theatre bed - to recovery bed. Naughty really they should be using slide sheets and I know I was led on one, but Im sure thats what my bruises are from.
Nikki dont stress hun, Im sure you'll be fine..xox

Ooh very naughty indeed. My arms are black and blue!
Nikki, there's no way you'll be in recovery for all of that time. I'm sure your boyfriend will be just fine to be with you after you're returned to your bed. Ignore the PCCs babe. They haven't got a clue half the time. Xxx

Mais - I didnt believe it would happen either and didnt pack my bag til the night before. Was still in denial when I woke up after. Youll be wanting a crystall ball even more so afterwards when your dying to know they will eventually look normal and go into a bra!
Nikki - Maybe your on a ward not a private room then? Try not to let it get to you. It may change depending on who is working on the day. I would play dumb and say my PCC said my hubby was allowed ;) xx

I'm with Cazzy, Nikki. I'm sure you'll be fine. I've heard girls being told before here that they aren't allowed visitors and its been ok when they get there. Try not to dwell on it and get yourself up self lovely. Ultimately this day is all about you and your future with bombs and that's exactly what you're going to get gorgeous xxx
Re: November Buddies
Meh I feel like having a lil cry. Feel like an old granny hobbling round today. Paracetamol on its own isn't doing much but I don't want to feel ill like yesterday - not sure if it was tramadol or not. Got a constant pain in my left side/boob and scars feel like they are on fire. :( Just feeling sorry for myself. Hardly seen my other half since as he's had works doo and skittles & the first night I knew I'd keep him up if he stayed (we dnt live together). Guess I need a hug, if I could manage one lol!

Re: November Buddies
Nikki - please don't let them fob you off with the reason being its an infection control/risk issue. Even if you are in a ward area with other patients & not in a room of your own, using this as a reason for no visitors is absolutely incorrect x
A big hug for you & Cazzy

Re: November Buddies
Thanks girlys :)
Anyone else suffer with boobie insomnia following their BA? I'm having such broken sleep. Iv just woken for the 5th time tonight and I'm not tired?!
Anyways as I was awake I went out to the loo and whilst there I thought I'd check my boobies out in the mirror to see if they are still there (as you do). & my puffy gross torpedo nipples reacted to the cold slightly - yay. I'm so happy. They've looked so ugly with those nipples. & they looked a lot better overall than they did yesterday. Pain isn't too bad. Jus tender and some shooting pains. Really hope I'm turning a corner here :) xox

Re: November Buddies
I have a terrible sleep pattern anyway lovely, but it's common for you to have disrupted sleep folding your BA whilst you're healing.
Glad you're feeling better about your boobs now. Xx

Re: November Buddies
I had really broken sleep for the first week and tried using herbal sleeping tablets for a few nights but it gave me nightmares. Feel loads better almost 2 weeks on. Just cant sleep on my side which is the only thing that disturbs me now x

Re: November Buddies
Weirdly I'm sleeping better since the BA. I've never tried sleeping on my back before but am really comfy with pillows down each side and a towel under my knees, so think I'll keep doing this for the forseeable future!
