If you can do without the tramadol and just take paracetamol it really would be better for you hun. The effects of that stuff are often worse than the discomfort of your BA! Hope you feel better soon sweetness Hug xx

Oh cookie I'm just gonna stick to paracetamol now. My head was all over the place earlier & felt sick. Is it best to avoid ibuprofen?xox

It's best to avoid ibufrofen this early post-op sweetness. They act as a blood thinner so can sometimes do more harm than good lovely.

If the paracetamol isn't enough then maybe just take the tram adobo when you really need it babe, or just at night so you can sleep through with it? Hopefully you'll be ok without though. I know it made me feel so ill I was sick. I really don't like that stuff. Xx

It's very hard hun sad smile I have an autoimmune disorder that out me in hospital for six months last year and I've been stuck in a wheel chair since. I can get about a few steps on crutches which is great for me getting around the house because although I have a motorised wheelchair it's like playing bumper cars in that when I get home lol. But because I can't bare any weight on my upper body I can't use my crutches, nor can I lift myself from chair to wheelchair so I'm stuck on the sofa till so me one is home to help me.

It's a very difficult time and I really wasn't prepared for this bit, but when ou have a BA I think you should be prepared for anything after lol and I just have to get on with it reall... Well I don't have any choice do I hahaha.

Nikki and Ciantwo - definitely take something with you like to eat. I was an overnight case had my surgery first thing in the morning.and dint have anything but a cheese toastie to eat. No elaborate dinner like a lot of girls have, that's all I had all day! And tea and toast for breakfast. I packed sandwiches for hubby and ended up having to eat them myself as I was starving lol. So do make sure you've got something nice with you.

Not long now! woohoo

You should be. I arrived first thing and was given a lunch menu which I requested the cheese toastie on. I had to go back to surgery because i had a heamatoma so missed lunch. I wasn't given a menu for dinner and got the toastie I'd ordered for lunch! Ew! Hubby ate that because he'd eat anything lol. And I ate the sandwiches I made, slit was lucky I made them. Xx

I second that cookie, hope you become more mobile soon, must be so frustrating! Hug

Im hoping for a mcdonalds as there's one round the corner from the hospital but iv just been told by my co-ordinator that my OH won't be allowed in recovery with me for the 4-6 hours im in there....that's unusual isn't it??

So no yummy meals delivered by my handsome man :-( more to the point...no handsome man with me in recovery :-( xxx

Thanks girls Hug . Xxx

Maybe ask the day case girls on the forum Nikki?

I've only ever been an overnight stay so I can't really comment on day case procedure. I was overnight and my hubby didn't leave my side. He was allowed to stay with me in my room until 9.30pm. Xx

I am overnight but I was told by my clinic that its like hospital visiting hours and he would only be able to visit between 6-8 so that's why I'm not fussed about going alone, don't want him to be bored!x

That's good, I think I would of pushed for him to be able to come if I knew he could of stayed with me. I think I will be more hardy and less of a wimp on my own though tbh as I have to be strong :)
